It's October 30th, which means two things: tomorrow is Halloween and DC's superhero mashup film Justice League is set to hit theaters in just over two weeks on November 16th.
With those in mind, along with having a girlfriend who just happens to look amazing in a Catwoman outfit, I knew for sure that yours truly needed to pick up a Batman costume for this year's Halloween party, and that's where Halloween Costumes came to the rescue.

Being Batman is hard work. It requires billions of dollars in your checking account, a giant mansion that’s built on top of a cave that can be used as a base of operations and many years of martial arts training. You also need a butler, an acrobat sidekick with the same passion for justice that you have and a really cool car.
Well, chances are pretty good that you’re not a socialite with a tragic backstory and a multi-billion dollar bankroll, so being Batman might not always be easy. The good news is that we can help you be Batman! Just wear this Deluxe Tactical Batman costume, which is based on the Justice League movie, and you’ll be halfway there to becoming the iconic DC hero.

If you've followed Fanboys Anonymous for a while, you know by now that not only am I a massive Batman fan (favorite superhero ever), I'm also an apologist for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice as I think the movie was just a few elements short of being perfect (ie, recast Lex Luthor and watch the Ultimate Edition and you've got an amazing movie).
What you may not know is that I've dressed as Batman numerous times throughout my Halloween experience and I was even that kid that used to wear the Batman cape and cowl around the house despite it being April and way past when I should have kept suiting up. I was adorable, and I was the night. Trust me.
Anyway, this Justice League variation was certainly a hit with my buddies and a great means to capitalize on a couples costume and fandom at the same time.

Normally, we have to wait until the summer months before we start seeing the superhero films that come out during the year, but in 2017, our first comic book movie is actually coming out February 10th: The Lego Batman Movie!
Since most people like to go with the flow and wear t-shirts and apparel related to these films when they go see them (I know I do when I can, just to get into the spirit), Batman gear will be on the rise. But since this is still the winter, why not take advantage of the ability to also embrace the one time of the year you can swear Christmas sweaters and get away with it?

I grabbed one for myself and even though I'm not normally a sweater guy, I find it to be super comfortable. Plus, I'll admit, I find it funny that I've gotten away with wearing it out in public and nobody's noticed that instead of snowflakes, there are Batman logos all over the place. I'm dumb like that, I know. It's just stylish enough to pull off being a regular cardigan but also lets you embrace your inner fanboy.

September 23rd will be the 125th anniversary of Nintendo (more specifically, since Fusajiro Yamauchi founded Nintendo Koppai on September 23, 1889, which was originally a production company for playing cards rather than the video game juggernaut it is today).
In honor of this occasion, TV Store Online is selling special Nintendo-themed hoodies exclusive to their shop based on four of the iconic video game characters: Mario, Luigi, Wario from the Super Mario Bros series and Link from the Legend of Zelda series.
I was able to get my hands on one of these (I chose Luigi as that guy doesn't get as much credit as he deserves, even if he saves Peach) and I was very pleased with the outcome. These hoodies are not knockoffs or cheaply made—the officially licensed Nintendo product stamp should be an indicator of that alone. They represent the true colors and the spirit of the characters they embody.

Halloween is the one time of the year when everyone wears a costume and goes out—unless you're a cosplayer, in which case this is just another night out for you. Many cosplayers still consider Halloween to be one of their favorite holidays; it just doesn't have the same meaning that it used to.
With all of the costumes a cosplayer owns, you might think picking out a Halloween costume is an easy choice, right? Wrong! The decision to pick out a Halloween costume might be an even harder choice than what to wear at Comic Con. Why is it so difficult picking out ONE costume for ONE night?
Chances are, you're going out to a bar or party. What could possibly go wrong?!
Someone could spill their drink on you… or worse.
All the time spent working on intricate armor and props can be completely destroyed in a matter of seconds by one drunken idiot.

Have you ever seen an angry cosplayer when you ruin their costume? It's not pretty.
Unless you're Sailor Moon or an Avenger, chances are no one will know who you're dressed up as.
And what's worse is this person will probably beat you in a Halloween costume contest:

As cool as it is that everyone is accepting the "nerd community," once you start going to conventions, you can't quite look at store-bought costumes the same way again.
