Not to be confused with Brittani, this Brittany debuted with the popular app Vine. Since then, the queen of pranking has skyrocketed to becoming one of the most popular Vine stars of all time and many even dub her the Queen of Vine. She compiles her collection of Vines on YouTube as well as fresh new content as well that exceeds the Vine limits. Due to her pranks and hilarious torturing of strangers, Brittany has earned herself a lifetime ban at Target. She is one of the few Viners that yours truly can watch for hours, so it is no surprise she landed herself a spot in the 2015 Internet Goddess Tournament.

Recently, Jessi has been caught up in some controversy with fellow Vine-er and ex-boyfriend Curtis Lepore. Although these days most people are focused on the controversy and have effectively taken sides in the war between the two parties, we here at Fanboys Anonymous remain neutral and choose to recognize Vazquez for her Internet accomplishments. Besides, this is a tournament of the nerds, so you guys decide: Is Jessi Smiles worthy of the 2015 Internet Goddess Award?

YouTube is a forum to showcase the world's true talents. That is definitely the case when it comes to Taylor Davis. The beautiful American composer has shown the world just how talented she is on the violin, not to mention shown her geekier side by playing our favorite video game and nerdy music. Releasing several albums, including one with fellow tournament mate Lara De Wit, Taylor has shown that her skills and music to soothe the soul are enjoyed by all. With a well-balanced love for geek culture, as well as cosplay from time to time, she has stolen the hearts of many a geek. Taylor's spot on the Internet Goddess Tournament is well deserved!

She has also appeared on FOX and MSNBC and been featured on many Internet websites such as IGN. Thornton continues to post videos to YouTube as well as participate in many fundraising campaigns, which is why she's back in the Fanboys Anonymous 2015 Internet Goddess Tournament!

Not only is she gorgeous, but she is also one of the most talented musicians on YouTube and tour today. Lara broke onto the scene from the great country of Australia bringing us many renditions of our favorite video game music. Yours truly had the pleasure of interviewing Lara on The Dace Man Show to find out she is your typical down-to-Earth girl next door. Lara has successfully released a music album with fellow Internet Goddess contestant Taylor Davis as well as toured with her and many others to conventions and symphonies. Add to her brilliant musical talent her ability to throw together a costume to coincide with the music she is playing and you have videos that capture the hearts of nerds across the world. Still actively landing roles on television as well as on the web, Taryn stays busy and has also the looks to make it past the first round in the 2015 Internet Goddess Tournament!
Mamrie Hart

Yet another newcomer to the 2015 Internet Goddess Tournament, Mamrie Hart was born in New Jersey and raised in North Carolina. Her fan-favorite and award-winning You Deserve a Drink launched her into fame. While she has been known to go on tour with fellow Internet Goddess competitors, Mamrie has made her fame and name on YouTube. As a newcomer it will be interesting to see how far Mamrie will go in the tournament.

The champ is here. That's right, fans, Catie Wayne is the reigning, defending 2014 Internet Goddess, and she's back to retain her title in 2015. In late 2008 Catie Wayne burst onto the Internet scene with an energetic vlog under the character of Boxxy. With high energy and talking about everyday life, Boxxy took the Internet by storm, including the infamous site 4chan. Hers was a character that was so unique it hooked the attention of the Internet audience. Boxxy was one of the original Internet phenomenons and generated a lot of attention both positive and negative.

The Overly Attached Girlfriend has popping up on our feeds since June 2012 and has also posted videos to YouTube parodying several love songs from artists such as Police, Backstreet Boys, and Taylor Swift. Fully embracing the Overly Attached Girlfriend role, Laina soared to Internet fame and has been a part of Internet pop culture ever since. In the 2014 tournament Laina managed to make it to the Heavenly Sixteen only to fall short to 2014 Internet Goddess Runner Up Lara De Wit. How will she fare this year?

Another newcomer to the 2015 Internet Goddess Tournament is Grace Helbig. Hailing from South Jersey, she immediately has this author's attention [#represent]: she went to school at Gateway High, and that's right down the road from me. She debuted on the interwebs in 2008, and it has been onward and upward ever since. She has made appearances on various television shows, and E! has even signed her to her own late-night special. So before she leaves the world of YouTube, she should be included with the greats!

When it came to the 2014 Internet Goddess Tournament there were a plethora of talents that had made their way onto the interwebs. Musicians are a category that is hit or miss, but when it comes to Lindsey Stirling, it is most definitely a hit. The amazingly talented violinist from California has produced her own music and even appeared on America's Got Talent in 2010.Although the evil wench Sharon Osborne might have cut her down, she has most certainly bounced back and proved Sharon wrong. Last year Lindsey advanced to the Heavenly Sixteen round only to square up with the 2014 Internet Goddess Tournament champion Catie Wayne. With Catie at the other end of the bracket, will 2015 belong to Lindsey?
Hailing from the country of Canada, IISuperWomanII launched her YouTube account in 2010 and has been a popular personality on the Internet ever since. Appearing in two films and nominated for three awards in 2014 for her work on YouTube, it's no surprise she made her way into this year's Internet Goddess Tournament. Though this is her first time on the bracket, the Ontario Native has a very passionate fanbase that will surely see her advancing onward.

Another member of the original USS Enterprise crew has passed away. Grace Lee Whitney, who played Yeoman Janice Rand on the original Star Trek series, died of natural causes on May 1 at age 85.
Born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Whitney first garnered attention in her teens as a singer on Detroit radio. After a few years, she began appearing onstage, opening in nightclubs and on Broadway, and shortly thereafter on film and television. From the early '50s through to the '70s, she landed guest roles on shows like Wagon Train, Gunsmoke, Bewitched, Batman, and The Outer Limits. Billy Wilder featured her in Some Like it Hot and Irma la Douce. It was her limited run on Star Trek, however, in 1966, by which fans tend to remember her.
For eight episodes of the original series' first season, Whitney appeared as Yeoman Janice Rand, an assistant to Captain Kirk. While much of her role consisted of handing pre-iPad computer briefings to the captain, episodes like "The Enemy Within" and "Charlie X" folded her in as part of the main action. Despite this, she was summarily released from her contract after the first half of the season.
Whitney's relationship with Star Trek was initially tumultuous. Trek was always staring down budget constraints, and in an interview with The Sun Whitney stated she felt her contract was released for two reasons: one, that her evolving and increasingly romantic relationship with Captain Kirk was limiting and two, because the bridge was getting a little crowded.
"They wanted Captain Kirk to have romances in each episode with a different person," she said, referring to the show's producers. She claimed to have been written out of the show because they believed audiences didn't want to see a settled-down captain. Additionally, Majel Barrett, who would later become Majel Barrett-Roddenberry, was cast as Nurse Christine Chapel, and as Whitney put it, "One of the blondes had to go." Whitney also alleged she was sexually assaulted during this time by an executive at Desilu, the production company responsible for Star Trek. She refused to name him in her biography, claiming that it was "her story, not his."
After Trek, Whitney struggled with alcoholism and drug addiction, a recovery from which shaped the bulk of her post-Trek work. Her family has stated that she would prefer to be remembered as a "successful survivor of addiction." Whitney credited late castmate Leonard Nimoy as her sole advocate during her most difficult times and the one who brought her back into the Trek fold for minor roles in some of the original cast's Star Trek films. She also reprised her role as Rand in a guest appearance on Star Trek: Voyager and in a few fan films.
Mary Ann Chase was named Grace Lee Whitney by her adoptive family, and if names have meaning, there is some to be found in hers. Whitney turned her struggle with substance abuse into something positive, working locally as an advocate for others after 35 years of sobriety. Though she was part of one of the biggest cultural phenomenons of our time, her family says it is her work with drug addiction she would want as her legacy.

who have taken the Internet by storm. Join me, Chris "The Dace Man" Dace
over the course of the next few weeks as we crown the 2015 Internet Goddess.
From April 3rd until April 17th, brackets I–P of the tournament will be open for voting. In this round, we have the returning iJustine squaring off with Brittany Furlan. On May 29, 2007, live on Justin.tv, a new Internet queen was born. Justine took to the airwaves in a nonprofit stream that followed her everyday life known as iJustine. Since then, she has had five YouTube channels with more than 2,500 videos. She has made the transition over the years from the Internet to television and had guest roles on shows such as Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Criminal Minds, and Vampire Diaries. Still going strong on YouTube today, she has more than 1.5 million subscribers and still pumps out fresh new content even as she dabbles in Hollywood. She was one of the first broadcasters to hit the airwaves on Justin.tv and for that, we welcome Justine to the 2015 Internet Goddess Tournament!
Brittany Furlan
[Comedian, Vine Artist]
Brittany debuted with the popular app Vine. Since then, the queen of pranking has skyrocketed to becoming one of the most popular Vine stars of all time and many even dub her the Queen of Vine. She compiles her collection of Vines on YouTube as well as fresh new content as well that exceeds the Vine limits. Due to her pranks and hilarious torturing of strangers, Brittany has earned herself a lifetime ban at Target. She is one of the few Viners that yours truly can watch for hours, so it is no surprise she landed herself a spot in the 2015 Internet Goddess Tournament.

Who doesn't love the adorable Melonie Mac? This cutie partnered up with YouTube and showed us that gaming isn't just for the overweight nerds hanging in the basement talking their raids and zerg rushes. (Wow, I just said that!) She helps make gaming cool again and reviews several nerdy things we geeks have come to love. You can catch her playing League of Legends in the YouTube world live as well as in archive sessions!! The Mac Attack has definitely earned herself a return spot on the 2015 Internet Goddess Tournament.
Brittani Louise Taylor
[Singer, Comedian]
Welcome to the 2015 Internet Goddess Tournament, Brittani Louise Taylor. Another newcomer to this year's tournament, Brittani is a talented young singer and comedian. Raking in over 1.2 million subscribers with hundreds of videos with a million hits a piece. Brittani brings her touch of comedy to singing as well as mesmerizing the masses who cruise through the world of YouTube.
