What if you could take the entire history of a franchise—every incarnation and adaptation of all the films, television series, video games, comic books, novels and more—and condense it as much as possible, while telling as full of that story as possible?
That is the mission of THE BLUEPRINT PROJECT by Anthony Mango.
What I am trying to do is take each of these series and make what I'm referring to as the gold standard bible of those characters and narratives in the most comprehensive way possible, referencing all the most important and littlest details at the same time.
There are 5 main tenets of this approach:
- Take EVERY version possible of each character and story from all adaptations and outline all the story elements, outline those, and be sure to check it all off the list during this story.
- Merge characters that have superfluous roles
- Make as many references possible to even the smallest things
- Tell a full narrative from start to finish of this entire story
- Fix parts of these projects that haven't held up to time, have plot holes, or could be improved upon
For example, there are different parts of Adam West's Batman compared to Michael Keaton's, Kevin Conroy's, Val Kilmer's, George Clooney's, Christian Bale's, Ben Affleck's and Robert Pattinson's, as well as all the Arkham games, Frank Miller's Dark Knight Returns continuity, the Elseworlds and What If versions and more. How would you balance out every version of Batman, Joker, Riddler, and so on, so fans could ingest 1 "all-encompassing" adaptation?
LIST OF THE BLUEPRINT PROJECT SECTIONS
Each different division of The Blueprint Project is referred to, generally speaking, as "The ____ Blueprint", but given their own true titles as well.
Here is a list of SOME of the sections of The Blueprint Project that I've worked on to varying degrees:
Batman Blueprint = "The Batman: A Knight-Time Story - 100 Records from The Wayne Foundation Archives"
- A 100-story adaptation that tells the full journey of Bruce Wayne's adventures as The Batman, ideally to be produced as 100 graphic novels or films.
Power Rangers Blueprint = "Absolute Power Rangers: A Mighty Morphin' Epic"
- 12 feature films and 2 short films (a prologue and epilogue) adapting The Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers and the adventures and journey of Jason Lee Scott, Kimberly Hart, Trini Kwan, Billy Cranston, Zack Taylor and Tommy Oliver Marshall as soldiers recruited by Zordon and Alpha 5 to battle the evil Rita Repulsa, Lord Zedd and their monster minions.
Superman Blueprint = "Our Son: The Epic of Superman"
- More information to be released at a later date.
Spider-Man Blueprint = "Web of Lives: The Spider-Man Epic"
- More information to be released at a later date.
Terminator Blueprint = Title TBD
- A reformatting of what could have been for Terminator 3 as well as Terminator 4, Terminator 5 and Terminator 6, using the best elements of every film following Terminator 2: Judgment Day as well as elements from video games, comics and some other major sweeping changes and ideas.
Star Wars Blueprint = "Full Force: A Star Wars Rewrite"
- A retelling of Episodes 1-6 with some major adjustments and changes in part to fix problems from the prequel trilogy (such as Anakin's age in The Phantom Menace) as well as the original trilogy (such as Luke and Leia kissing), as well as new ideas of what Episodes 7-12 could have been and some expanded universe material between those 12 films.

The intention of The Blueprint Project is to make all of these blueprint notes into full-blown adaptations, to varying degrees, with the backing of the owners of the intellectual properties.
At the moment, they are not in any direct association with those entities. But with your support, these pitches could become a reality.
So help spread the word by sharing this with the hashtags #TheBlueprintProject or #BlueprintProject (be sure to tag me @ToeKneeManGo) along with each individual project's coinciding hashtags like #BatmanBlueprint, #PowerRangersBlueprint and so on, as well as to tag the owners of these properties (Disney, Warner Bros, Hasbro, etc) along with other artists, creators, friends, family and more.
This page will be updated in the future with more general information as well as specific links to pitch videos and more, so stay tuned and keep checking back!
