Per usual, I haven't seen the majority of the things that are nominated, which makes it difficult for me to make predictions, but I do have some things that I'm fond of that I would like to see win out of purely being biased. For example, I like the song Atlas by Coldplay and two of my favorite shows on television right now are The Big Bang Theory and Brooklyn Nine-Nine, so anything those shows win would be a positive in my book.

Make sure to check back on January 12th for the results of the winners in each category!

In Part 3 of our countdown, we have a set of four titles that all transcend mere personal taste and cross into the realm of cultural significance. Each of these titles in a way helped pave the way for their respected genres. This time, we look at all ends of the gaming spectrum, and continue on with number 8.

Nude Raider XXX Tomb Raider Naked Lara Croft Tits Glitch

8. Tomb Raider. It's amazing that a franchise of games that have varied so wildly along the spectrum of quality could find a way to constantly reinvent itself and stay relevant even as recently as 2013. With the original game released in 1996, the gaming world was introduced to Lara Croft, video gaming's first leading lady. A lot of modern fans scoff at just how significant the first game was. At a time when games were seen as kid's stuff, Lara was one of the first human leading characters to come into the post-NES 3D era. She wasn't just some throw away character lad in a 2D side scroller; she had longevity. This is pretty significant, especially because she's a woman. At a time when video games were still a boy's playground, to have a female lead catch on as strongly as she did is something to really behold. The fact that even today she has reached an elder-statesman level in video gaming history just shows her impact. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the sex angle of it all. Lets face facts, I'm sure a lot of the fan base she had was teenagers stuck in those "awkward" years. That's nothing to sneeze at, either. Going back to the comment about the kid's stuff, Lara brought an adult character into the mainstream that nongamers could identify. She wasn't just a gamer crush; she had all guys wanting her (in a matter of speaking). What other actress can say that her lineage as a sex symbol was solidified because she played a video game character. That's right, I'll say it: Lara Croft MADE Angelina Jolie. THAT is something to behold. Let's see Bob Hoskins claim that! Seriously though, the original Tomb Raider may not have aged as well as other games of its day, but thanks to developers constantly giving the old girl a fresh look, we will be seeing the exploits of this adventure queen for years to come.

Half-Life 3 leaked beta online download
7. Half-Life. Before 1998's Half-Life, the first-person shooter (FPS) scene was in the middle of a change. Games were shedding the 2D sprites of the Doom era and moving into the 3D world with games such as Quake in 1996. While the looks were changing, the core of gameplay wasn't; you were still going around corridors, blasting enemies, and finding keys and levers to open doors (for the most part). Half-Life completely changed that status quo. From the moment you start that famous train ride, you are just going through what is a normal day as Gordon Freeman—an every-man scientist working at his top secret government job. Okay, that doesn't sound so "every man," but for the first part of the game, nothing happens. You walk around your surroundings, talk to strangers, and generally loiter about until your main bosses call you in to assist in a new experiment. From there, you open a gate to an alien dimension, and the game starts proper. Or does it? That's what really set Half-Life apart at the time. You weren't just thrown into a hostile environment, forced to blow stuff up Rambo-style. You were still just an every man. Your first weapon is a crowbar. You're going through the motions just as anyone else would. As you do, the game unfolds with you, not in cutscenes. This was interactive storytelling, which you didn't have in mainstream FPS titles that weren't a role-playing game (RPG) at the time. Sure, as the game got deeper, you wound up falling into action FPS troupes with the onslaught of military personnel trying to cover up your escapades, but for the most part, it's just you and the environment. No grandiose score, no enemies that just pop up out of the shadows. Just you and your crowbar. Simply put, Half-Life is to FPS titles what Die Hard was for action movies. Like Die Hard, its lineage can be felt today. Games such as Call of Duty and Halo owe their gameplay to Half-Life. It is a milestone for modern FPSs. The same could be said for our next candidate.

6. GoldenEye 007. Regarded by many old-school gamers as one of the quintessential Nintendo 64 games, 1997's Goldeneye 007 was milestone for console gaming. In an era in which FPSs were just branching out of their static Doom-esque confines and exploring fully realized 3D, Goldeneye shocked PC gamers by proving that the humble video game console could produce an FPS that could best its PC brethren. Originally designed by Rare as an on-rails shooter à la Time Crisis, Goldeneye faithfully recreated key parts of its 1995 theatrical namesake while still doing more of its own thing. New to the mix was the use of stealth, something not seen in previous FPSs. Rather than going in and blowing everything up, there was emphasis on silent kills, shooting out cameras, and spying on enemies to track their placements. It really tried to emulate what it would be like to play as 007. Even today, its still considered one of the greatest movie-based games in modern gaming. Yet that's not why Goldeneye really has lived on as long as it has. No, its legacy lies within its multiplayer system. Goldeneye was the game that brought deathmatch multiplayer out of the PC landscape and into the split-screen world of consoles. Goldeneye's multiplayer boasted not just your usual deathmatch mode but also three other modes cleverly based on titles from the Bond portfolio, including "The Living Daylights," "You Only Live Twice," "License to Kill," and "The Man with the Golden Gun." I can safely say that there were many college nights in the late 90s and early 2000s spent on all-night Goldeneye sessions. The legacy of this game is truly legendary, to the point where the game was later remade in 2010/2011 by Activision in a vain attempt to recapture that original lightning in a bottle. Although that game limped out of the starting gate to mediocre reviews, history will always have the original title as a high water mark for video gaming of the late 90s. Speaking of high water marks on the N64…

5. Super Mario 64. Now, before I go into why I put this game as low as I have on this countdown, let me start by saying that I in no way downplay the impact this game had on modern gaming. Super Mario 64 did for 3D platforming what the original Super Mario Bros. did for 2D platformers. Very few games at the time had experimented with 3D, let alone 3D platformers. Sure, games such as Sonic 3D Blast and Nights into Dreams came out mere weeks apart from Mario 64, but they merely flirted with the gameplay concepts that Mario 64 brought to the table. Super Mario 64 was made from the ground up to take advantage of the brand-new Nintendo 64 technology. The game was one of the first to really take advantage of the new N64 analog stick, giving you a full 360 degrees of movement at your disposal. Combined with a dynamic camera system that never hindered the player during the game, you had the archetype for how a 3D platformer should move. Mario ran, jumped, and hip-stomped his way through fifteen unique levels ranging from haunted houses, caves, deserts, and even the inside of a giant grandfather clock. The level designs were all unique and never seemed to be built to hinder the player. This is a big deal because in those days, even in days after, building a 3D world for a platformer that wasn't play-test friendly was difficult for even the most seasoned veterans. Mario 64 also brought several new features to the series, including new power-ups such as the metal cap (which makes Mario all metal and invulnerable), the vanish cap (which allows Mario to walk through walls), and the spiritual successor to the tanooki suit and cape, the wing cap. This game became the template that a lot of 3D games still follow to this day and singlehandedly carried the N64 to success (and that's not hyperbole, given that this game was one of only two games released for the system at launch). Super Mario 64 is a stepping stone for video gaming, and even today the game is still regarded as such. Although four other games are higher on this list, that doesn't diminish its place in history.

With that, we have reached the final four. When Super Mario 64 doesn't even make the top 4, that means the last four have to be true classics. Which games made the cut? Stay tuned, and find out.

Hey, Hey, LISTEN.......Got an opinion on this? Leave a comment below and let the world know that I'm right or wrong.

Marvel Studios has had great success with its interlocking cinematic universe; Iron Man paved the way for a series of solid superhero films—The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America—leading to the capstone of The Avengers. DC Comics, under the aegis of Warner Bros., has had considerably less success. Superman Returns was dull and backward-looking, Green Lantern incoherent, and while Nolan's The Dark Knight trilogy was highly successful, its grim, underpowered setting has no connection to the upper power tier of DC heroes. Man of Steel is slated to lead the way to a Justice League movie, but whether it has the vigor to follow in Iron Man’s footsteps remains to be seen.

DC's works have typically shone brighter on the small screen. Setting aside a slew of animated knockouts such as Batman: the Animated Series, Justice League, Teen Titans, and Young Justice, DC properties have been turned into solidly-rated live-action shows such as Wonder Woman, Lois & Clark, and ten seasons of Smallville. The latter's popularity set the stage for spinoffs—first an aborted Aquaman pilot, and then the wildly successful Arrow. Now several more live-action DC television shows are in the works, including new versions of The Flash and Wonder Woman.

Arrow Teen Titans DC Comics Red Arrow Roy Harper
Shooting for a leading role?
The Teen Titans lineup best known to the public is that of the Murakami cartoon: Beast Boy, Cyborg, Raven, Robin, and Starfire. Those characters first appeared in The New Teen Titans, the team's 1980 Wolfman/Pérez relaunch. The original team’s roster included Robin, Kid Flash, Wonder Girl, and Green Arrow's sidekick Speedy. Is it coincidence that the upcoming slate of live-action DC programs includes all of those sidekicks' mentors? (Except for Robin, but as the only DC sidekick with name recognition outside the comics world, he needs little introduction for the casual viewer.) Is DC planning to produce a Titans series as a nexus for their TV universe, much like Marvel’s movie Avengers franchise?

If so, it's a clever idea. This would tie together a number of DC superhero shows without overextending each program’s lead actor—or the crossover show's budget, as supporting cast members would doubtless command lower salaries than Arrow's Amell or the upcoming Flash's Gustin. Moreover, Arrow's showrunners have written in two potential sidekicks; in addition to Roy Harper, we have Ollie’s sister Thea Dearden Queen, who's named for comic book character Mia Dearden (the second Speedy) and who will doubtless receive archery training from her biological father Malcolm Merlyn. Either one could be brought over to a Titans spinoff. Similarly, I expect that in addition to teen sidekick Wally West, The Flash will employ temporal shenanigans to bring in Barry's far future great-grandnephew Bart Allen (the second Kid Flash).

Do these speculations have any substance, or am I completely off base? Post your opinions in the comments below!

Peter Parker will return as early as April 2014, according to the New York Daily News.

For thirteen, aggravating for some, months, Doctor Octopus has been jumping around New York in Peter Parker's body. Next to nobody was aware, and Peter's social (and heroic) life will be very interesting when he comes back. He'll find himself estranged from Mary Jane Watson (even more than they were following "Brand New Day"), distant from Aunt May, and dating a little person coworker he doesn't even know!

Amazing Spider-Man #1 Marvel Now cover with Peter Parker returning
Alternate cover of ‘Amazing Spider-Man #1’ by Jerome Opeña

It's been over thirty issues with no Petey around and, as the stories stand today, his fellow players are beginning to notice. Puny Parker can only yell "The die is cast!!" and call everyone "insolent" while they try to help him so many times before they realize something is amiss.

Personally, I've enjoyed the Ock stories, knowing full well they would be temporary in some way. I don't know how Peter will return, but I wouldn't be upset if there ended up being two Spideys swinging around.

What side do you fall on, Fanboys/girls? Team Pete? Team Otto?

A heads-up to those looking to attend this year's Comic Con in San Diego. Comic Con International organizers have announced they are making a few significant changes in registration and ticketing, including increased ticket prices and doing away with the widely popular four-day badge.

Only single-day badges will be available for this year's convention on July 24–27, 2014. Last year's convention welcomed over 130,000 comic book, video game, sci-fi, and entertainment enthusiasts and professionals to the San Diego Convention Center in 2013, according to its website.

Comic-con San Diego Convention Center
San Diego Comic Con International
Attendees are now required to purchase separate single-day badges for each day they plan on attending, and those who purchase badges for all four days will be eligible to purchase a badge for Wednesday's Preview Night. Additionally, those who purchase badges for all four days will also be able to consolidate them into one four-day badge at the Convention Center.

Comic-con International ticketing update
Update from the Comic Con International website

Ticket prices have also been increased for 2014. Adult badges for Thursday through Saturday have gone up $3 from last year's price to $45, while a Sunday badge showed a $6 increase to $30.

Comic Con International is also implementing further changes to its registration process, which is notorious for its system crashes, by adding a preregistration option for those who have a valid Member ID from last year's convention and a landing page to keep ineligible users from filling up the queue. During preregistration, you may purchase badges for a maximum of three people, which includes your own ticket, and your guests must also be eligible for preregistration and have their own Member IDs.

Starting in 2015, attendees will be required to keep their physical Comic Con 2014 badge and badge code in order to be eligible for preregistration.

No date for preregistration has been released as of yet, but is expected sometime in the coming weeks. Open registration for the general public and exhibitors will be available at a later date.

It is unclear how these changes will ultimately impact registration and ticket sales, though mixed feelings are sure to bring some backlash. Comment below and let us know what you think.

I wanted to compile a Top Ten list of the hottest women of 2014 that we'll be paying attention to, but actually, this list is going to have one more bonus babe and go up to eleven!

2013 was pretty exciting for many reasons. It was full of many unexpected surprise announcements for the years to come, including many happy returns for fan favorites. It was also full of instances where we gladly ate our own words. I'll explain as we go along, but I'm pretty sure you'll understand.

    Hot Emma Stone nude see-through
EMMA STONE will of course be reprising her role as Gwen Stacy this year in the much anticipated The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

The actress, who quickly found her way into every geek's heart with Superbad and Zombieland in the last decade, has been pretty busy following her role as Peter Parker's original love interest (pre-Mary Jane) and appearing in Gangster Squad and The Croods.

Aside from returning for the Spidey sequel, she will also be appearing in a twist on the superhero hype alongside Edward Norton and Michael Keaton in the movie Birdman. I'd also like to point out a certain "Untitled Cameron Crowe Project" in post-production, but where's the fun in secretive films we don't know enough about to cover? Regardless of what she does this year, though, I'm sure we'll see plenty of her.

Sex Scene Hayley Atwell Nude Pillars of Earth HAYLEY ATWELL is another most welcome return this Spring!

London-born Hayley, who so memorably portrayed Steve Rogers' love interest, Peggy Carter, in the World War 2-based Captain America: The First Avenger, was one of the movie's finer points and a joy to watch.

Hayley has been busy in British film and television since the first Captain America movie, but applied her voice talents to the video game and a one-shot short film based on her character.

At several points, Hayley was asked if she'd return for the Captain America sequel—this year's The Winter Soldier—and she was pretty certain that she wouldn't be back. Then she later stipulated that Peggy could return in a flashback scene.

Lo and behold, Peggy Carter will return and we couldn't be happier, even if it's just for a fleeting moment. It's only fair, as well, since she made such a great impression on us the first time around. Hayley is also working on director Kenneth Branagh's (Thor) adaptation of Cinderella, set for 2015.

sexy Amy Adams girl next door
AMY ADAMS defied nay-sayers with her memorably untypical portrayal of Lois Lane in Man of Steel last year. The hot, redheaded half-Italian played a Lois that was more gutsy and less a damsel in distress, which I felt was a terrific change of tone.

True to her abilities as one of the US's stronger actresses, the 39 year-old, who has had a string of great films since 2010, juggled Man of Steel with the Christian Bale '70s heist flick American Hustle.

Set to return as Lois Lane in 2015 in the Batman vs Superman epic, Adams has two films in the pipeline this year so far; the life and death drama Lullabye, and a biopic of '60s painter Margaret Keane.

    Cute Ellen Page Forehead
ELLEN PAGE has been a personal favorite of mine for a long time now. Not your typical young actress, her earlier appearances such as Hard Candy were the kind of cutting edge you never forget, which was beautifully contrasted by her varied choices in film roles such as Juno, X-Men: The Last Stand, and the twisted James Gunn black comedy Super—not to forget Inception.

Ellen returns this year for X-Men: Days of Future Past, her first appearance as Kitty Pryde since Last Stand back in 2006 where she still looked twelve years old. Page is quite captivating, funny and untypically beautiful - a joy to watch - and we hope to see more of her in 2014!

Naked Anne Hathaway nude topless tits sex scene
ANNE HATHAWAY who is still, to this day, very fondly remembered for her turn as Catwoman/Selena Kyle in Chris Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises, has still been rising in popularity since 2012.

The English actress enjoyed a very successful 2012 with the final installment of the Dark Knight trilogy, then going on to hit musical Les Misérables.

This year, she returns with a string of appearances, including the secretive project Don Peyote and Fox animated movie sequel Rio 2.

The most anticipated project of this year, however, for Hathaway's and Christopher Nolan's fans will be the long awaited sci-fi epic Interstellar.

Now I'm not sure if Hathaway will be dressed similarly to the photo to the left. It would be nice, but failing that, you can come back to Fanboys Anonymous anytime and just ogle away!

Hunger Games and X-Men actress Jennifer Lawrence hot photos
JENNIFER LAWRENCE has been making a huge impact over the last few years, and just when we groaned "oh great, another Kirsten Stewart Twilighty-type fantasy trilogy ripoff wannabe actress" she went and blew us away with some stellar performances.

Yes, I said that when I first heard of The Hunger Games and immediately likened it to a kiddie version of Battle Royale; but like I also said at the beginning of this feature, I later swallowed my words and accepted Lawrence as an actress of talent equal to her beauty.

With X-Men: First Class and Silver Linings Playbook, she's shown great character acting and a penchant for gutsy and untypical drama.

Following that and the recent American Hustle, Lawrence will be popular this year with period drama Serena as well as X-Men: Days of Future Past, and the first installment of Hunger Games: Mockingjay.

    Hot Juno Temple nude sexy
JUNO TEMPLE is much like our sweetheart Ellen Page in that she has captured out attention with cutting edge cinema and some very awkwardly funny features alike.

Juno's a young actress that has shown an amazing ability to portray so many original characters in less than a decade, and she's barely been out of the picture enough for me to single her out as a face to watch in 2014. You know that when Juno makes a movie, it's going to be worth watching; and this year she has quite a mix of interesting projects.

Two of which I have my eye on are Maleficent and the long awaited Sin City: A Dame To Kill For.

Playing the character of Thistletwit in Maleficent, this is a twisted version of the fairy tale Sleeping Beauty, which sees the story from the perspective of the titular wicked character (played by Angelina Jolie) and what brings her to curse the Princess.

Sin City I'm sure I don't have to explain. It's been a long time coming, God knows why, but I hope they have their heads and arses wired together because there's a lot riding on this a decade after the original. Failing that, though, Juno will no doubt raise eyebrows.

    Leaked Scarlett Johansson sex tape
SCARLETT JOHANSSON is probably known best for her portrayal of Black Widow throughout the Marvel movie run of the past few years, but the colorful actress has been busy outside of The Avengers project and the likes.

Saying that, in a few months' time we'll all be getting onto Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which will be her most important appearance in the franchise yet, and then it's onto Avengers: Age of Ultron next year.

But the native New Yorker will also be featuring in two movies that have caught my attention. One drama, co-starring with fellow Avenger Robert Downey Jr, called Chef, and a lead role in another project that's trying to keep a low profile: a comeback film from Leon director Luc Besson. That film, Lucy—another spin on the current superhero hype—will see Scarlett gain her own unique powers. Well, aren't we just so full of surprises this year?!

topless Lauren Cohan no bra see-through
LAUREN COHAN is one entry in this list that I added simply on the basis that I can't get enough of her. Shut your face. Fangirls have Norman Reedus, Fanboys need warm and fuzzy feelings too!

The beautiful Maggie Greene, as we all know and love her, is one of few characters on AMC's The Walking Dead that never looks like she's gone a month without a bath. I can't say how much I appreciate that, because that show is causing me phantom smells, and they don't smell pretty. I mean seriously, in the zombie apocalypse, people loot for tins of Spam, bandages and toilet rolls. You bet your ass there's an abundance of deoderant and soap just waiting around.

But everybody knows that Walking Dead actors don't get much time in-between seasons to go make a movie. Why would they need to? They must be loaded from that show alone.

However, get this: in post-production right now is a Sylvester Stallone all-star "drama" titled Reach Me, co-starring Cohan alongside Terry Crews, Thomas Jane, Cary Elwes and many more. Intrigued much!

    cleavage sexy Karen Gillan boobs
KAREN GILLAN is another British talent that only a certain breed of nerd will know. Mostly known for her television, since she's only made a couple of films so far, the flaming hot redhead is riding on a gamble that could see her become a huge name from 2014 onward.

Of course, the bonny Scot lass is famous as long-time Doctor Who assistant Amy Pond, and has been for years, and it's possible that this is why she is now associated with names such as James Gunn, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Michael Rooker, Belicio Del Toro etc…

By now you either think I'm being a pretentious arse, or you're saying to yourself, "oh yeah, Guardians of the Galaxy!"

Meet the stunning actress behind Guardian of the Galaxy character Nebula. Ooofff!

Avengers Age of Ultron Scarlet Witch actress Elizabeth Olsen stars in 2014 Godzilla
ELIZABETH OLSEN really has been working hard to shrug off the stigma of having Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen for older sisters, and she couldn't be much more far removed.

Starting her grown up career with a bang in 2011's Silent House, Lizzie literally blew through 2013 like a force of nature, ending with her being cast as the Scarlet Witch in Joss Whedon's Avengers: Age of Ultron.

After Old Boy, Lizzie had one more movie project set for 2014, which you'd think wasn't a big deal, but that movie just so happens to be potentially the biggest movie of 2014, and its name is Godzilla. One hell of a character actress and emotionally so expressive, Olsen reminds me of Maggie Gyllenhaal but with the advantage that she's cute as hell. She will also make tight superhero clothing look marvelous, so here's to 2014 and beyond.

Sound off Fanboys and Fangirls! Did I miss anybody? Do you have your eyes on somebody else particular this year? If so, let us know in the comments section below and thanks for reading.

hbo announced game of thrones season 4 release date

Hey everyone, it's Stephen Wago back again with another edition of Top 5 in Anime. Last time I took on the task of ranking what I thought were the top 5 most controversial anime shows. Recently I've been having a lot of success getting the Addicted to Anime Facebook page up and running. It's our own little community of Anime fans as well as a great place to keep updated on the podcast. Recently I've been doing a "Depressive Post of the Day," and it got me thinking. We get so emotionally invested in the characters and stories of our favorite shows that when we finally lose one of our beloved characters, it's heartbreaking. So I thought it would be good of me to ruin your day and either remind you of, or introduce you to, my "Top 5 Most Impactful Deaths in Anime."

Number 5: Nina Tucker from Full Metal Alchemist/Brotherhood

Full Metal Alchemist and I have a love-hate relationship, not because I dislike the series in any shape or form. Quite the opposite really; it does such a good job at getting me invested in even a minor character like Nina, that along with the delivery of how she actually died, I was left thinking about it for days later.

Nina is estimated to be about four years old, and between her voice and character traits, she is absolutely adorable! (Her pet dog Alexander helps with that too.) However, Full Metal Alchemist isn't kind to children by any means. For a series in which the protagonist loses his mother and two of his limbs, it shouldn't have been so shocking when Nina Tucker met her end.

Chimera Nina looks on as Ed beats down Shou Tucker

Shou Tucker, the father of Nina, was a bio-alchemist. He was famed and given the name of the Sewing-Life Alchemist after creating a talking chimera. Now funded by the state, he had yet to provide anything new with his research, thus leaving him on the edge of a mental breakdown over what he would do next. It's then that the character Shou Tucker took a turn for the worse by introducing to Edward Elric his newest chimera…

Edward had his suspicions, and on questioning Shou it is revealed that he did not create a chimera capable of speaking via bio-alchemy, but instead using the forbidden art of human transmutation to fuse his daughter Nina and her pet dog Alexander into one being. Not only that, his wife that had "left" he and Nina had also been the victim of a similar experiment resulting in the first talking chimera he had created.

The once adorable four year old was now some odd looking creature who asked the Edward Elric, "Why does it hurt, big brother?" In the end, Nina's pain would come to end when the alchemist killer Scar put her out of her misery with his arm of deconstruction. For Shou Tucker, his fate varies depending on whether you watch the original anime or Brotherhood. For Nina Tucker, however, there is no happy ending.

Number 4: Nagisa Furukawa from Clannad After Story

Clannad is a romantic drama that follows the story of Tomoya Okazaki. Through his journeys we're introduced to Nagisa Furukawa, whom only one word can really describe: sweetheart. If I had to pick from a list of characters who was the most kind, sweet, and caring, Nagisa would easily make the top of the list. So of course she had to die, right?

After traveling through Nagisa's and Tomoya's relationship through the entire series of Clannad, we're given a chance to look at their lives together after Tomoya graduates in Clannad After Story.

Eventually it's revealed that Nagisa is pregnant; however, she's always been an individual to have health problems. Those problems introduce us to one of the saddest scenes in anime history. On a winter night so harsh that ambulances couldn't get on the road, and with no midwife at the scene, Nagisa gives birth to her daughter, Ushio. Nagisa struggled and pushed through the pains of her illness, and in the process she weakens. Tomoya, holding his new baby girl in his arms, knelt over Nagisa, continuously tries to converse with her as her responses get shorter. Nagisa asks if she can rest now, but Tomoya pleads with her to just stay awake a little bit longer. To no avail.

I have to mention that this won't be the only hardship Tomoya will have to face; his daughter has a similar fate, dying of the same illness on a winter night. This left me struggling as to which of the two characters' deaths was the most impactful. However, the Clannad fan base isn't left miserable for too long, as the small family of three is later reunited once more. Althought to explain how that whole thing works out, I'd need to write another article.

Do yourself a favor, watch Clannad…and have some tissues with you.

Number 3: Light Yagami from Death Note

Light's death definitely made an impact and caused a variety of different emotions, and that's how it made it number three on my list. Light Yagami was once a bored high school student who hated this corrupt and disgusting world we live in. With his father being a higher up in the Japanese police, he had a sense of justice about him. So when he stumbled upon the power of the Death Note it allowed him to take Japan by storm, killing countless numbers of criminals and even those who just got in his way. It wasn't long before the media gifted him the name Kira, which he utilized and hid behind.

    Death Note Episode 1 death

However, Light was not the protagonist of this story; that role fell on the shoulders of the mysterious and beloved detective who went by the letter

"L." The two had constant mental jousting battles trying to slip the other up. In the end, however, using the people closest to him as pawns, Light became villainized forever by fans of the series as he stood over L's fallen body with a sick smile across his face.

Thus when Near took over the role of hunting down Kira and was successful, it left many L fans rejoicing as Light flopped around in a puddle of his own blood. This Death Note fan, though, was rooting and hoping that in the end Light would be the victorious. Unfortunately the Shinigami that dropped the Death Note book into the human world would write Light's name down before he could bleed out or be imprisoned. The image of L would look triumphantly over the lifeless body of Kira laying on the stairs as the series came to a close.

Number 2: Maes Hughes from Full Metal Alchemist/Brotherhood

I'm sure a lot of people are screaming at me over their keyboards right now for not putting this at number one. Trust me, this one is one of the most heart-wrenching deaths, yet over hyped. To describe Maes Hughes in one word, it would be "goofy." However, he was a fantastic father, husband, and friend. When he wasn't irritating people at the most inappropriate times with pictures of his daughter, he was helping the Elric brothers or best friend Roy Mustang.

Hughes meets his untimely demise after uncovering a huge plot to create a country-sized transmutation circle. Unable to make a phone call from the land line, he rushed out to go find other means of contact, where he was met and did battle with the homunculus Lust before he continues onward to a pay phone outside.

As he tried to get connected, he unknowingly dropped a picture of himself and his family. Suddenly 2nd Lt. Ross demanded that he stop making the phone call, and Maes realized that this was not Maria Ross (due to her missing a mole) but an imposter. The imposter revealed itself to be another homunculus, Envy. Maes launched an assault with a knife but halted mid-attack as Envy transformed into an identical image of his wife after eyeing the dropped photograph.

    Full Metal Alchemist Manga Scans

After finally growing attached and learning more about Maes and his family, we're left in misery as he was gunned down by the image of one of his most cherished people after hesitating to finish his attack. As if it wasn't sad enough already, the funeral was made even more horrible as his daughter screamed, "Why are they burying Daddy?" and tells her mother that her daddy had a lot of work to finish and shouldn't be buried.

Thankfully, for us fans of Hughes, we found redemption later on as Roy Mustang beat Envy down into its true and weak form.

Number 1: Lelouch Lamperouge from Code Geass

Lelouch Vi Britannia commands you to not to bitch at his death being the number one of my list!

Really, when you think about it, how can you argue that Lelouch's death not only was the most impactful but also easily led to the greatest and most complete ending of an anime ever!

    Lelouch Vi Britannia Commands You

The former Britannia prince who left his name, identity, and past behind looked to make the world a better place for his blind and crippled sister, Nunnally. He eventually stumbled in to a series of events that had him confused for a terroris. At this time, a strange girl with mysterious powers offered him a contract, the terms of which being that she would give him the power to do what he desired. Thus he came into possession of his "Geass."

Everyone's Geass varies in its ability; Lelouch's allowed him to a give a command to any individual and have them follow it. Using this ability, he put himself into a position of power, becoming the strategist of a terrorist group, the Black Knights, under the hidden identity of Zero. The group's purpose was to take down the evil Britannia Army.

In a world conflicted by war, and with countries at each other's throats, it became apparent that it would never come to an end. With that, Lelouch made himself a symbol of hatred and disgust among the entire world. He passed the identity of Zero on to his former best friend Suzaku and agreed to allow Suzaku to kill him on a public platform, thus making the ultimate sacrifice and shouldering the entire world's hate as he was impaled upon Zero's blade.

He did whatever it took to gain absolute power, losing countless people and hurting everyone close to him. A flashback of his final words to Suzaku played over his death scene in which he talked about giving the world the gift of Geass. As his life comes to an end, Nunnally ascends to power, the war ended, and the world came together for open discussion. It would still face its trials and issues, but with Britannia now under a new and beloved leader, there was peace at last.

Is Denzel Washington Batman Vs Superman's Green Lantern?

Posted by Fellonius Munch - Thursday, January 9, 2014

Once again the rumors are upon us as Zack Snyder's 2015 Batman vs Superman project gathers anticipation, expectation, and a roster of comic book characters big enough to start a Justice League movie already!

Like a kid in a freakin' candy store, DC fans have been juggling rumours that aside from Superman, Bat-Fleck and Wonder Woman, we should also expect Lex Luthor, The Flash, Nightwing and even Doomsday. Since catching the news that Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Joaquin Phoenix and Bryan Cranston have each been in talks with Warner Brothers, it's now become apparent that Denzel Washington is being considered for the role of Green Lantern.

Book of Eli actor Denzel Washington mah nigga meme Green Lantern
In Brightest Day, in Blackest Night, I walk by Faith, not by Sight!
A few weeks ago, it was rumoured that Washington was actually being considered for the role of Superman's nemesis Lex Luthor. It wouldn't have surprised anybody, really; Lois Lane is now ginger, Perry White is now black, and Jimmy Olson is now a girl. What's wrong with that idea, so long as the story is being delivered by exceptional actors? Washington is one of the most versatile and beloved actors alive.

So when that news spun around and placed the veteran actor in the shoes of Green Lantern John Stewart, succeeding Hal Jordan and Guy Gardiner, it clicked. Not only would he be a perfect John Stewart, he would be a perfect balance between action and acting, which is really what this superpowered slugfest will need. So, if you're with me, you'll be devastated if it turns out that this rumour is totally fictional.

If it is true, however, have some character facts courtesy of Fanboys Anonymous. John Stewart, Green Lantern Corpsman of Sector 2814 (containing Earth, the gateway to the Multiverse), grew up under the influence of a drunken and abusive father who one day got up and left his mother to fend for John and his brother and sister. He was motivated to become a focused and disciplined adult after a stupid teenage stunt—joyriding—killed his sister.

Joining the marines helped him gain his focus and discipline and he excelled as a sniper, even though he'd always wanted to become an architect. Leaving the marines, he did follow his dream, but the experience was brief as he was fired as a result of racism. After that, John devoted himself to social and political activism, challenging diversity not only on Earth but (once he would become a Green Lantern) throughout the Universe, making him one of the strongest-minded Lanterns around.

DC Green Lantern John Stewart In Blackest Night surviving the Black Lantern Corps

When Guy Gardner was injured, the Guardians had chosen Stewart to replace him temporarily. Contrary to the doubts Hal Jordan had about him, he went on to become one of the greatest Green Lanterns, even proving in some ways more formidable than Jordan—like in using his knowledge of architecture, engineering and military weaponry to create more complex constructs—and went on to train other recruits.

John Stewart was created in 1971 and was one of the very first black superheroes created by DC!

Does that not sound like a superhero Denzel Washington could immortalize in film history? Sound off Fanboys and Fangirls! Comment below and thanks for reading.

Although the publishing fate of the Ultimate Universe following Catacylsm is still uncertain, Marvel has already revealed that Miles Morales will, in fact, be moving to the main 616 universe. It was this news that made the decison by the Ultiamtes to send him to the 616 universe, in Cataclysm: The Ultimates' Last Stand #2so interesting and his return from the 616 even more curious in Cataclysm: The Ultimates' Last Stand #3

Galactus looms on the cover for Cataclysm: Ultimate's Last Stand 3

The opening page quickly establishes a disjunctive narrative with a battered Miles returning through the teleportation device they discussed sending him through in the last issue. The story then jumps back 25 minutes to the great debate over whether to send the evil Reed Richards to the 616 universe to get information on the alien attacker. During the debate, Iron Man pulls Miles outside to show him the gravity of the situation. Although the next two pages are lumped together, this issue's token Galactus panel only covers about two thirds of the page. (Small miracles.) After Tony outfits Miles with one of his palm repulsors, the two return inside where Miles joins the evil Reed in the universe jump.

Miles and Evil Reed Richards arrive in the Marvel 616 UniverseOnce through to the main universe, the duo immediately proceed to the Baxter Building where Reed is able to disable the security systems—his voice matching that of the 616 Reed—and make his way to the lab below. Once inside, the team uncovers the Fantastic Four's files on all of the various Galactus invasions that have occurred over the years. Just as they manage to make a copy of all the data, however, the two are interrupted by perhaps the one thing Reed may not have counted on: Valerie Richards, daughter of Reed and Susan. Reed battles the security protocols Val reinstates while Miles escapes back to the Ultimate Universe, bringing the issue to a full circle.

Upon his return, Miles fills the team in on the Galactus details, but it's evil Reeds' return that steals the show. Once back in the Ultimate Universe, a newly enlightened Reed shares with Susan the revelation he's had about life now that he's seen first hand in meeting Valerie, and what his life could have been. I'm not sure why Bendis needs evil Reed, but this is a natural way to give the villain a change of heart in time for him to handle some of the heavy lifting of the battle against Galactus. Still, although the team now knows Galactus' name, it remains to be discussed just how they'll battle the Devourer of Worlds.

Which method do you think they'll try? Could it be time for the Ultimate Ultimate Nullifier? Let us know in the comments section below and stay tuned to Fanboysanonymous.com for more Cataclysm Coverage.

The previous issue of Miles Morales' Cataclysm tie in, Cataclysm: Ultimate Comics Spider-Man #2, achieved an unusually high amount of significance for a Marvel event tie-in. Amongst the chaos of the Ultimate Universe's first Galactus invasion, writer Brian Michael Bendis had Miles reveal his superhero identity to his father, a man who has made his disdain for super heroes evident in the series' recent issues. This month's issue, although featuring a British Airways cameo, isn't as Earth-shattering (pun intended), although it does finally bring the tie-in and the main book together.

Galactus storms through New York in Cataclysm Ultimate Comics Spider-Man 3

The opening, as promised, features a Great Britain Airlines flight trying to find somewhere to land, not knowing New Jersey has been obliterated. Their descent towards the nonexistent arm pit of America then leads them to what seems to have become a staple for the Catacylsm event: a two page spread of Galactus within the first four pages of the book. Although the art is excellent, the constant commitment of precious story space to the character around whom the event centers is beginning to feel a bit over the top. Following the two-page reveal of the Devourer of Worlds, the plane is eclipsed by a beam of light.

Brian Bendis unleashes the Marvel Universe 616 Galactus on the Ultimate Universe.A credit page later and we're back at Morales Manor where Miles had just swung down and removed his mask before his father in the prior issue. The book completely casts its trademark fun nature aside here and commits completely to the emotional situation. Miles' father quickly dredges up the death of his brother at Spider-Man's hands, as well as the death of his wife in a Venom attack. Although the major action and events of the book are easily recapped, this scene is one you have to see for yourself to fully appreciate (and it certainly earns the $3.99 cover price). Bendis allows Miles' father to have a true human reaction after realizing all that his son's secret implies. His emotional struggle is perfectly aided by the art which drives home the massive internal conflict Miles' reveal has caused within him. Before long, however, a familiar airplane breaks the tension between the two as it sails overhead and straight for New York.

Miles follows the plane and, alongside Spider-Woman, Cloak, Dagger, and Bombshell, quickly begins helping both survivors of the crash as well as the civilians who were nearby when the plane comes down. Inside the downed plane, Miles uncovers a battered J. Jonah Jameson who, having witnessed Peter Parker's actions during Ultimatum, seems to have found another front row seat to apocalyptic Spider-Man heroics. Upon realizing who it is that's helping him, a grateful Jameson vows "I'm going to change your life." Once the area is secure, Miles returns home to find his father, only to discover the man has left. Before he can do much searching, Captain America phones Miles informing him that the Ultimates have a plan, thus bringing the book up to date with Cataclysm: Last Stand of the Ultimates #2.

The book was another fast read, but was full of strong emotional moments. They're little instances like these that are making this event feel much more real and fulfilling than some of the larger ones from Marvel's main line. With the fate of the Ultimate Universe still unsure and the Ultimate Spider-Man title now in sync with the main Cataclysm: The Ultimates' Last Stand book, the event seems poised to continue ramping up the action and consequences. Stay tuned to fanboysanonymous.com for more Catacylsm coverage.
