Week in Geek #21: Reign of the Superman Trailer, Pepper Potts Rescue and More | Fanboys Anonymous
Welcome to another edition of WEEK IN GEEK here at Fanboys Anonymous—a rundown of some of the events, news and stories that went down over the past few days in the geek culture spectrum.

This week in geek culture Fanboys Anonymous nerd recap

Here are some of the topics I felt like voicing my opinions about:

Luke Cage Cancelled

Well, they definitely set up another season, so between this and Iron Fist, I'm curious how they'll wrap it up. Heroes for Hire doesn't seem like the natural progression, but maybe they'll figure out a way. Or, maybe this is a sign that all of the shows are getting cancelled and going to Disney's streaming platform.

Kylo Ren ISN'T a Spoiled Child?

Apparently, there was a joke in Ralph Breaks the Internet that positioned Kylo Ren as a "spoiled child" and Disney had them take that out. Why? It's not like the Star Wars franchise hasn't PURPOSELY made him out to be that type of character. The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi literally had the goal in mind to make him a whining, complaining brat who represents people who care "too much" about what came before this new regime and then, the representative of Disney itself saying "fuck all that" with The Last Jedi. Ugh, this new Star Wars management pisses me off so much.

A Nick Fury TV Show for Disney Play?

Sign. Me. UP. Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury is awesome and we haven't gotten enough of him. I hope this is true. I could use more Maria Hill, too, so I hope she's the female lead.

Reign of the Superman Trailer

Very neat. I'm excited for this.

Pepper Potts Will Suit Up as Rescue in Avengers 4

That real quick part of Iron Man 3 where she had the suit was what many people thought would be the one moment of her being Rescue, but now that we have a shot of her in a separate costume, very cool.

Pirates of the Caribbean Rebooting, Maybe?

Why? Haven't you bled the franchise dry yet? It was popular because the first one was good and Johnny Depp took people by storm. Then, people got annoyed with it when the films started to suck and if you reboot it, there isn't enough good will to keep it going. Anyone who is still a fan won't really want to see the new stuff and anyone who dropped off won't likely want to see a lesser version.

Alan Tudyk Voicing The Joker in Animated Harley Quinn Show

Interesting, and I can see it working out well. I'll withhold judgment until I hear his take on it, but I think it'll be good.

How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World Trailer

The first two movies were pretty good overall, so I'm sure I'll see this one, too. The trailer itself doesn't seem all too groundbreaking or impressive, but whatever.

Spider-Gwen Changes to Ghost Spider

That makes much, MUCH more sense.

Clueless Reboot

Couldn't think of anything else and picked another reboot off the floor, right?
