The original 1996 hit for the PlayStation, Resident Evil, will be making its way to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. The original release of the game was critically acclaimed, scoring high ratings among the video game community and selling 61 million units to date, according to Capcom. It will now be available digitally in early 2015 for the next generation of video game systems!
The original game followed a member of an elite task force known as the Special Tactics And Rescue Service (S.T.A.R.S.) who is trapped in a mansion with mutated creatures. It is the players objective to discover the mystery behind the mansion and ultimately how to escape. Below is the announcement from Capcom.
