A little over 24 hours ago, a story broke involving a New Jersey woman who interned on Spike TV's Inkmaster, a program showcasing the talents of various tattoo artists. 25-year-old Nicoletta Robinson was responsible for driving judges Chris Nunez and Oliver Peck to the shoots, as well as typical on-set tasks expected of an intern.

Nicoletta was just getting her feet wet in the production industry with this job. She'd spent the last few years tending to her mother—who was recovering from brain surgery—and working as a nanny. During the ten days Ms. Robinson worked on the show, she was allegedly subjected to multiple sexual advances, as well as inappropriate comments, from Mr. Peck and Mr. Nunez. This included explicit questions about her sex life; having her seat belt strapped tightly around her breasts; and being poked, prodded, and made to feel like nothing more than an object.

If this wasn't enough to make you angry, when Ms. Robinson brought this behavior to the attention of the network, she was not met with assistance or sympathy. Instead, she was fired from the show. Nicoletta and her family and friends have not taken this situation lightly. Not only are they filing a suit against Nunez, Peck, and Spike TV itself, they're also rallying people through Facebook to raise awareness of what kind of things go on behind the scenes at Inkmaster.

This Fanboy didn't even know what Inkmaster was until he was invited to join the Facebook group, which contains a laundry list of transgressions allegedly committed by Mr. Peck and Mr. Nunez. These include:
  • Peck and Nunez specifically requested female assistants.
  • Peck and Nunez repeatedly made unwelcome sexual advances against their employees.
  • Peck assaulted a female employee by grabbing her by the throat.
  • Nunez asked an employee about her menstruation in an abusive manner.
  • Nunez and Peck taunted their employees about the employees' experiences with fellatio.
  • Nunez asked an ill employee if she was pregnant, then insinuated that the baby belonged to Peck.
... the list goes on for a while.

First Look at Hercules Starring The Rock

Posted by The Dace Man - Tuesday, March 25, 2014

Hercules news and rumors starring The RockHey, Hey, Hey Dacetacular ones, Chris Dace here to give you a first look into one of summer's Hollywood blockbusters!

In a world where Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson dominates anything action related, one must decide: will this Hercules film be better than the one we had a couple months ago? The answer is obviously yes, because it has Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. He has proven time and time again that he is a box office hit and over the last couple of years a pay-per-view buy rate machine. The accurately titled "People's Champ" has revived franchises, won titles, and stolen the hearts of America. Check out below the first look at Hercules starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, out in theaters this summer.

Warnog: Offical Beer of the Klingons

Posted by The Dace Man

Star Trek 3 news and spoilers
What up, all you Trekkies? Chris "The Dace Man" Dace here, with some Deep Space Nine-ish news for ya.

The country that has given men Trish Stratus, Maple Syrup, and Rush has a new beer for us nerds. The Federation of Beer—a Canadian company that's teamed up with the Star Trek franchise—has ordered the production of a "Roggen Dunkel"-style ale to be brewed at Indiana's Tin Man Brewing Company. It's their second Trekkie beer, following in the footsteps of last year's red Vulcan Ale. The Federation of Beer goes on to describe their Klingon-style beverage:
(Warnog) incorporates rye malt into a modern Dunkelweizen grain bill, creating a flavor profile that is both familiar and unique... Warnog's aroma is predominantly mild banana and clove produced by the German wheat yeast, supported by subtle sweet malt character from the use of Munich malt. The flavor draws heavily from the blending of the rye malt and traditional clove character, creating a very rich and unique flavor. The inclusion of wheat and caramel malts help to round out the mouthfeel of this beer, making this Dunkelweizen hearty enough to be called a Klingon Warnog.
So I have to ask, Fanboys and Fangirls: Will you be purchasing this new Klingon brew? With a successful Vulcan predecessor and a planned Romulan ale in the works, the Federation of Beer certainly believes so.

Spice Girls and BSB World Tour?!?

Spice Girls Reuniting for a tour with The Back Street BoysHoly '90s flashback, Batman! The Dace Man here, Fanboys, with some Backstreet Boys news hot off the presses—news so hot and buzzworthy that The Sun even quoted band member Brian Littrell on the speculation.

Granted, the Backstreet Boys are already planning to go on tour this year with Avril Lavigne.  They're also planning a one-off cruise in October, on which yours truly almost went... don't judge. But word on the street is that the BSB are interested in tag-teaming with their female counterparts from the '90s on a world tour. With the 20-year anniversary of "Wannabe" coming in 2016, do you Fanboys and Fangirls think it's possible? Littrell wants it that way... "We are actually in early talks about maybe doing a world tour together with the Spice Girls," he says.

The Walking Dead "Us" Review & Synopsis

Posted by The Dace Man - Monday, March 24, 2014

Walking Dead Season 4 Finale SpoilersIt's that time of week again! Yours truly, Chris "The Dace Man" Dace, is back with another review and synopsis of AMC's horror drama The Walking Dead!

With only two episodes left this season and after the shell-shocking episode we had last week, let's see what's in store for us on the episode entitled "Us."

To recap last week, we witnessed the effects of the postapocalyptic zombie world on the young. In one of the toughest decisions Carol has had to make since we met her, she killed Lizzie. Lizzie had murdered her sister Mika, and talking to Lizzie had shown no potential for redemption or comprehension of the world around her. She was fine with murdering the living but would not kill the dead. Mika, on the other hand, had refused to harm any living thing, and her optimism ultimately led to her demise. After a lot of emotional back-and-forth, we also saw Carol reveal that she'd killed Tyrese's girlfriend at the beginning of the season. Tyrese would forgive her in the end, and the two hit the road again (along with baby Judith), heading toward Terminus.

It's been some time now since we've seen Rick, Carl, and Michonne. Beth is still missing, and Daryl has joined a new group after his failed pursuit of her captors. Maggie, Sasha, and Bob are still heading to Terminus, and from the looks of it Glenn and Abraham's groups are heading that way too. Will they all unite this week? Will Daryl find Beth? Hopefully we will get some answers and reunions this week on The Walking Dead.

THE FOLLOWING ARTICLE WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR THE WALKING DEAD SEASON 4, EPISODE 15: "US"

We kick off this week's episode with Eugene talking Tara's ear off and Glenn walking as fast as hell toward Terminus. We cut to night; Abe sits next to Tara and starts talking to her in an attempt to learn what's keeping her up all the time. I particularly enjoyed the lesbian theory. The scene ends with Tara asking Abe, "What happens when the mission is over?" Then we cut back to day. Glenn comes upon a sign with a message from Maggie telling him to go to Terminus. He pauses and then hauls ass down the track. The others stare in shock as he takes off, and we start this episode off on somewhat of a high note. Cue the intro and our first commercial break!

AMC's The Walking Dead news rumors
We come back to Daryl's new group resting in the woods and being startled by a walker. They think at first that Daryl has split but realize he's left his stuff behind. We then cut to Rick's group, heading down the same tracks to Terminus. Michonne and Carl are having a balancing competition, and Rick seems happy that Carl still acts like a kid at times.

Then we're back to Daryl's group. He's hunting, but his targeted rabbit gets picked off by another member of Joe's group. The two argue over the carcass; Joe appears and grabs Daryl's hand before he stabs the other guy. Joe explains the rules of "claim" to Daryl and how it maintains order among the group. I kind of like Joe, but I fear that he's gonna be a problem down the road. We cut back to Glenn's group. Glenn is hell-bent on continuing on, but Abraham tells him it's time to rest. A walker falls from a platform above them, and Abe shoves Tara to save Eugene. Tara gets hurt a bit, and Rosita yells at Glenn that they need to stop. After some arguing, Glenn strikes a deal with Abe: he will give Eugene his riot gear for protection if they can continue moving forward until sundown. Returning to Joe's group, we see Joe and Daryl walking down the tracks and talking about being alone in the world. They go further in depth about "the rules" and how those rules maintain order. Joe asks Daryl if he's leaving and tells him that if he's staying, then he's part of the "Us." The group sets up camp for the night, and we roll into our next commercial break.

We return to Glenn's group, who have come upon a tunnel. They debate going through or around the tunnel and ultimately decide to part ways. Eugene tells Tara she's hot, and Tara responds with "I like girls." That was an awesome moment. Glenn and Tara head into the tunnel, and Glen tells Tara he understands what she's going through. She explains everything she saw the day the Governor attacked the prison. Unfortunately I think our time with Tara might be coming to a close. Back with Daryl and Joe's little faction, we see them scoping the warehouse and preparing to hunker down for the night. They all start "claiming" the available junk cars and other potential sleeping areas, cutting Daryl off at each turn. We then return to the tunnel, where Glenn and Tara have come across a collapsed section. A number of "live" walkers are trapped under the fallen debris (it looks like a level out of a 1990s video game). Tara notes that the collapse had to have happened that day because the dead walkers' blood is still wet. The two scale the rubble only to find a horde of walkers on the other side. We see their panicked looks and moaning walkers coming their way and then naturally cut to a commercial. Like I said earlier, I don't think Tara will make it to season 5.

Returning to the tunnel full of zombies, Glenn is happy none of the walkers is Maggie. Tara insists they turn around, and we cut to Abe and his group scoping out some cars. They find a van and clear it of the walkers. As we progress through this season I'm totally digging the arrogance of Eugene and the way he talks, and on top of that he has a pretty sweet mullet going. Back in the tunnels, Glenn has figured out a way to distract the walkers with his flashlight and sneak out, but Tara falls and becomes trapped under the rocks. Cut to yet another commercial!

Spoilers and News for Walking Dead Season 5When we return we're traveling down the road with Eugene, Abe, and Rosita. Abe's asleep, and Eugene has tricked Rosita into driving to the location where he believes Glenn and Tara will emerge from the tunnel. They argue and awaken Abe, who argues some more, but then Eugene becomes distracted and begins yelling. Cut back to Daryl's group; the guy from the morning's hunt fight accuses Daryl of stealing his half of the rabbit. Joe had already seen him plant the rabbit on Daryl but had chosen to let him play out his scheme before having the boys teach him a lesson. On to the tunnel, Glenn is still trying to get Tara out of the jam and she keeps telling him to leave and save himself. Glenn begins to take a noble stand, shooting all the walkers he can hit, when suddenly a car shows up and saves their asses. Eugene and crew found Maggie and crew, and they have saved Glenn and Tara, and now we have our first reunion! The little girl inside me is screaming with joy! Commercial time.

After the sunshine and lollipops reunion, the group starts to hunker down in the tunnel. Tara and Maggie meet for the first time, and Glenn covers for Tara about her actions at the prison after seeing the horror and guilt on her face. Eugene says their new path should be to go to Terminus, pick up supplies, and adjust a course from there. Abe's loyalty to Eugene is spot-on from the comics and is going to set up for an awesome season 5. The group decides to head to Terminus. We cut back to Daryl and his new group and see him again walking with Joe. Daryl sees the map to Terminus, and we learn that Joe's group was the one in the house with Rick and is now tracking him. We end this week's episode with Glenn's new supergroup arriving at Terminus, which at first appears empty and abandoned. They approach a woman named Mary, and we are set to head into the finale next week! If I'm a betting man, we've just met one of the Hunters.

That's it! See ya next week, walkers! GWAR Singer Dave Brockie Funeral Pics
Dave Brockie, better known to fans as metal band Gwar's front-man Oderus Urungus, has been reported dead by Style Weekly and many people close to the band.

Sources from the Richmond Police Department confirmed that Brockie was found dead in his apartment by his roommate between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. yesterday.

GWAR, self-described as "The Scumdogs of the Universe," were infamous for their absurd lyrical subject matter, wild stage performances, and ghoulish costumes. The sad news comes shortly before the band celebrated their 30th anniversary. They released their 13th album in 2013. They've toured worldwide, and just recently returned from playing their first show ever in Japan.

Dave was one of the funniest, smartest, most creative and energetic persons I've known, He was brash sometimes, always crass, irreverent, he was hilarious in every way. But he was also deeply intelligent and interested in life, history, politics and art.
His penchant for scatological humors belied a lucid wit. He was a criminally underrated lyricist and hard rock vocalist, one of the best, ever! A great front man, a great painter, writer, he was also a hell of a bass guitarist. I loved him. He was capable of great empathy and had a real sense of justice.
— Mike Bishop, former GWAR bassist

This marks an end of an era for metal fans everywhere.

Assassin's Creed Unity Wallpaper HD
Ubisoft has released a trailer for the next installment to their popular video game franchise Assassin's Creed. While the trailer reveals very little, as the footage is claimed to be from an alpha state of the game, it's confirmed to be set during the French Revolution.

Ubisoft says that they've been working on the game, titled Assassin's Creed Unity, for more than three years. Design work began shortly after the release of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.

"We have been working on the new Assassin's Creed for more than three years and although we weren't quite ready to show you our full vision for a next-gen only AC, it seems Abstergo are trying to force our hand! So here's a true first look at in-game footage from Assassin's Creed Unity. Stay tuned — we'll have many more exciting details for you in the months ahead!"

The most notable monument seen in the trailer is the Notre Dame cathedral. Other key things to note are the guillotine, the 18th century Paris architecture, and France's red, white, and blue flag. The YouTube clip's description leads off with, "Qu'ils mangent de la brioche!"—"Let them eat cake!" As with previous installments, Ubisoft will undoubtedly be working overtime to provide players with complete immersion and historical accuracy.

In addition, a report from Kotaku states that we can expect to see the release of a second AC game this year for previous-gen systems PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. That game is currently code-named Comet.

Assassin's Creed Unity, the fifth major installment of the series, is slated for a holiday release in 2014.

This week, information has slowly been coming to light regarding Ghostbusters 3. It sounds like the unfortunate death of Harold Ramis, co-creator of the franchise, has helped to invigorate those involved. Although original director Ivan Reitman has removed himself from the chair, he has chosen to stay on as producer. So who could tackle the marshmallow-thick, slimy mess of bringing back this series? The answer may excite you.

The Lego Movie and 22 Jump Street team on Ghostbusters 3

The duo behind The Lego Movie and 21 Jump Street, Phil Lord and Chris Miller, are in talks to help bring the franchise back into action. The great news is that these two are solid, with a great resume for reference after the success of almost everything they touch. With a possible (almost approved) script by The Office writers Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg, the Ghostbusters may benefit from a modern take as well as a new team.

Even Dan Aykroyd is ready to move forward, tweeting "Packs on! Will have Ivan's back as I help him produce a GB 3 that Harold would be proud of." Bill Murray is said to still be uninterested in the project (I may be understating that a little), which could see updated proton packs and traps strapped to the shoulders of some young unknowns—a new team, possibly mentored by Ray, Peter, or Winston (has anyone talked to Ernie Hudson about all this yet?).

Personally, I'm all for a reboot as opposed to what sounds like a sequel. The franchise may benefit from a fresh take starting in modern times rather than a "new class" after the original team from the '80s retires.

What do you all think would be best? Ghostbusters 3 or The New Ghostbusters (aka starting from scratch)?

Years ago, a show called Mystery Science Theatre 3000 popularized the act of providing comedic commentaries to B-rated retro movies. That act has become known as "riffing." Despite a painfully low budget, the show was a massive success and holds a cult following to this day.

Mystery Science Threater 3000 Wallpaper HQ
Since the original airing, the cast members have gone on to their own projects and remained mostly out of mainstream media. However, their class of comedy has never stopped. Adapting to the times, they took to the Internet, where half the team formed Cinematic Titanic and the other half formed RiffTrax. Both continued the popular style of MST3K, causing it to spread to other producers as its own genre of entertainment.

Free RiffTrax Downloads Full Movie After 15 years, however, it appears riffing may be returning to our television screens! RiffTrax members and MST3K alumni Mike Nelson, Kevin Murphey, and Bill Corbett will be taking part in a three-episode comeback special on the National Geographic channel. Although the revival will air under the RiffTrax name, Zap2It has reported that Murphy and Corbett will be reprising their roles as Tom Servo and Crow T. Robot, respectively.

Whether other classic elements from MST3K will be included, such as the silhouetted images of our hosts during the movie or the commercial-break skits,  remains to be confirmed. The subject for riffing is also yet to be announced, although it has been rumored to be some kind of television show. There has been no word of any other members' involvement.

As a person who was a huge fan of the original MST3K and followed the careers of those involved, I can tell you that these guys have not missed a step! They've continued to evolve their brand of comedy, bringing it to modern movies to appeal to a new generation. With any luck, we can see them return to TV for more than just three episodes.

RiffTrax will air on National Geographic on April 1, 2014.

CBS: The Land of TV Show Immortality

Posted by The Dace Man - Friday, March 21, 2014

How I Met Your Father spin off rumors and news
Hey, hey, hey, Dacetacular Nation!! Chris Dace is back, bringing you an editorial. Yeah, you heard right: an editorial.

Now, there used to be a time and place in the world of sitcoms to rest on your laurels. If you've made it through about three or four seasons—specifically the 100 episode mark—you've done pretty well for yourself. At that point, you enter into syndication and you can pretty much phone it in for the remainder of your show's run, because networks will be chomping at the bit for the rerun rights.

But CBS doesn't believe in letting things fade into the land of reruns without a fight. Take a look at their current lineup! They're sporting some of the longest actively-running TV programs on the air these days. With Two and a Half Men holding a strong 13.78 million viewership for the 2012-2013 season, The Bing Bang Theory being signed for an additional three seasons, and the long-running How I Met Your Mother getting a spinoff after a nine-season run, CBS has no problem backing the veterans of TV.

David Letterman set to retire from the Late ShowNot only does CBS have some of the longest-running sitcoms on air today, they also have the longest-running consistent late night hosts. David Letterman became the longest-running late night show host in the 11:30 p.m. EST block when Jay Leno was bumped from The Tonight Show for a younger Fallon. With Fallon taking ownership of The Tonight Show, Craig Ferguson became the veteran of the 12:30 a.m. EST block. Granted, the viewership of the Late Show has not be able to keep up with Fallon's style, and Dave is most likely in his final years on the air.

Not only does CBS have vets in both sitcoms and talk shows, but they also hold many of the top spots in longest active shows overall. NBC's Law and Order: Special Victims Unit holds the top spot, but CBS's CSI: Crime Scene Investigation only trails by 24 episodes. CBS also has six of the top ten longest-running active sitcoms. And in scripted television, their reality show Survivor is tied for first with MTV's The Real World.

The wake of success from the Marvel Cinematic Universe is rippling the waters not only at Warner Bros./DC Comics, but also now at Fox; the company now set a release date schedule for more Fantastic Four and Wolverine films, plus one more mystery project through 2018.

Fox Movie Schedule The Wolverine and Fantastic Four

Fox's sequel to the relatively well-received The Wolverine will come out March 3, 2017. Director James Mangold will return, as well as Hugh Jackman as Logan. The upcoming Fantastic Four reboot also has a sequel slated for July 2017, despite the fact that production on the first film hasn't even started yet. The project was also rumored last week to have been halted altogether, even possibly starting from scratch with a new script, director, and cast.

The final announcement was a Marvel properties project to come out July 13, 2018, the same summer as The Avengers 3. It looks like we have a wet, hot Marvel characters summer that year! The mystery project coming a year after these two Fox announcements could potentially be a crossover of these properties (Fantastic Four and X-Men). As long as films are being produced, many of the existing property rights contracts remain active, meaning these characters will be in the hands of Fox for years to come. Unless Fox, Sony, and Disney work out some kind of amazing, uncanny, and fantastic deal, any chance of seeing all of our heroes together could be decades away.

Thoughts? Do we have enough confidence in the Fantastic Four reboot that it not only deserves a sequel but potentially a crossover as well?

It's a busy time for the comic book industry, with more content being adapted across more mediums than ever before. Publishers continue to roll out different initiatives blanketing the comic sphere with a near-constant wave of news and speculation. At the end of every month, however, we get to step away from the headlines and casting announcements to take an inside look at the brass tacks of the comic business via Diamond's publishing numbers. Although these numbers allow us to take an educated look at the sales for a month, they do come with some limitations. The numbers below represent only Diamond's sales and do not reflect changes based on returns. That said, they are still a fun way to see where your favorite heroes stand in the endless battle for market share and shelf space.

February's Diamond Numbers for Comics shipped by publisher

In terms of market share, the number of books sold compared with all books sold, Marvel continued its dominance over DC. More interesting, last month saw Dark Horse climb over IDW for fourth while Image Comics retained third place. In terms of volume, DC out-shipped Marvel, although Marvel has rolled out another round of first issues this month that will make this number one to watch as March comes to a close.

Diamond numbers for top ten single issues february 2014

While the battle of the Big Two is fun, the top 10 books of the month tend to offer a bit more insight as to industry trends. February saw Scott Snyder's Batman top the charts once again for the most sold issue. The issue jumped forward, offering a look at the events of Batman: Eternal as well as glimpses of Batman's new sidekick Blue Bird and the New 52 debut of fan favorite Stephanie Brown. The top issues also saw Robert Kirkman's creator-owned Image Comics series The Walking Dead take both the eighth and ninth slots overall. This serves as a real testament to the show's contribution to the industry and certainly indicates that it has brought new eyes to comic stands.

February 2014 top selling graphic novels and trade paperbacks from Diamond

While the Caped Crusader's back-to-back wins is certainly impressive, the graphic novel ranks offer a look at the changing creative landscape. Seven of the top 10 graphic novels were published outside the top 2 publishers. IDW continues to showcase the power of its licensed series with Adventure Time and My Little Pony both taking a spot on this list, but the real winner is Image Comics, who took four spots. It will be interesting to see how the rise of creator-owned content continues, especially with the public creative difficulties that continue to stem from the Big 2. Other noteworthy points include the final volume of Joe Hill's critically and fan-praised series, Locke & Key, which trumped all the comic worlds, seizing the top graphic number slot of the month, and Marvel's capitalization on Guardians of the Galaxy buzz, with the reissue of Annihilation: Conquest - Star Lord taking the sixth slot.

Which do you prefer, Marvel or DC? Choose who you'd like, but the numbers don't lie. What book are you surprised to see miss the cut? Let us know in the comments below and check back to fanboysanonymous.com in April to see how March shakes out.

Third Ghostbusters Set to Begin Production in 2015

Posted by Unknown - Thursday, March 20, 2014

With a rocky start, Sony is starting production of Ghostbusters 3. Bill Murray is apparently uncooperative, and unfortunately Ivan Reitman, the original director, will only be producing. After Harold Ramis (Egon Spengler) died, Ivan Reitman felt it was best not to direct the next one.

When I came back from Harold's funeral, it was really moving and it made me think about a lot of things. I'd just finished directing Draft Day, which I'm really happy with and proud of. Working on a film that is smaller and more dramatic was so much fun and satisfying. I just finally met with Amy and Doug Belgrad when I got back. I said I'd been thinking about it for weeks, that I'd rather just produce this Ghostbusters. I told them I thought I could help but let's find a really good director and make it with him. So that's what we've agreed will happen. I didn't want all kinds of speculation about what happened with me, that is the real story.

Sony Ghostbusters 3 2015 sequel
Without the full cooperation of Bill Murray and the original director, the movie might seem like an imminent disaster—but fear not! This sequel will be less like a continuation of the story and more like a continuation of the brand. So a new spin on the old idea—which could be bad or good. Let's hope for the latter! Let's also hope that Sony is going to treat the legacy the way it deserves and not just think of it as income. How good of a job can Sony do to keep the franchise's good name? And, more importantly, how much can we trust them to make a good movie that follows in the footsteps of the original Ghostbusters?
