This week, information has slowly been coming to light regarding Ghostbusters 3. It sounds like the unfortunate death of Harold Ramis, co-creator of the franchise, has helped to invigorate those involved. Although original director Ivan Reitman has removed himself from the chair, he has chosen to stay on as producer. So who could tackle the marshmallow-thick, slimy mess of bringing back this series? The answer may excite you.
The duo behind The Lego Movie and 21 Jump Street, Phil Lord and Chris Miller, are in talks to help bring the franchise back into action. The great news is that these two are solid, with a great resume for reference after the success of almost everything they touch. With a possible (almost approved) script by The Office writers Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg, the Ghostbusters may benefit from a modern take as well as a new team.
Even Dan Aykroyd is ready to move forward, tweeting "Packs on! Will have Ivan's back as I help him produce a GB 3 that Harold would be proud of." Bill Murray is said to still be uninterested in the project (I may be understating that a little), which could see updated proton packs and traps strapped to the shoulders of some young unknowns—a new team, possibly mentored by Ray, Peter, or Winston (has anyone talked to Ernie Hudson about all this yet?).
Personally, I'm all for a reboot as opposed to what sounds like a sequel. The franchise may benefit from a fresh take starting in modern times rather than a "new class" after the original team from the '80s retires.
What do you all think would be best? Ghostbusters 3 or The New Ghostbusters (aka starting from scratch)?

Hey, hey, hey, Dacetacular Nation!! Chris Dace is back, bringing you an editorial. Yeah, you heard right: an editorial.
Now, there used to be a time and place in the world of sitcoms to rest on your laurels. If you've made it through about three or four seasons—specifically the 100 episode mark—you've done pretty well for yourself. At that point, you enter into syndication and you can pretty much phone it in for the remainder of your show's run, because networks will be chomping at the bit for the rerun rights.
But CBS doesn't believe in letting things fade into the land of reruns without a fight. Take a look at their current lineup! They're sporting some of the longest actively-running TV programs on the air these days. With Two and a Half Men holding a strong 13.78 million viewership for the 2012-2013 season, The Bing Bang Theory being signed for an additional three seasons, and the long-running How I Met Your Mother getting a spinoff after a nine-season run, CBS has no problem backing the veterans of TV.
Not only does CBS have some of the longest-running sitcoms on air today, they also have the longest-running consistent late night hosts. David Letterman became the longest-running late night show host in the 11:30 p.m. EST block when Jay Leno was bumped from The Tonight Show for a younger Fallon. With Fallon taking ownership of The Tonight Show, Craig Ferguson became the veteran of the 12:30 a.m. EST block. Granted, the viewership of the Late Show has not be able to keep up with Fallon's style, and Dave is most likely in his final years on the air.
Not only does CBS have vets in both sitcoms and talk shows, but they also hold many of the top spots in longest active shows overall. NBC's Law and Order: Special Victims Unit holds the top spot, but CBS's CSI: Crime Scene Investigation only trails by 24 episodes. CBS also has six of the top ten longest-running active sitcoms. And in scripted television, their reality show Survivor is tied for first with MTV's The Real World.
| Number of | Network | Series | Episodes counted to date |
| episodes | | | |
| 336 | NBC | Law & Order: Special Victims Unit | 3/12/2014 |
| 312 | CBS | CSI: Crime Scene Investigation | 3/12/2014 |
| 251 | CBS | NCIS | 3/18/2014 |
| 241 | CBS | Two and a Half Men | 3/13/2014 |
| 211 | ABC | Grey's Anatomy | 3/13/2014 |
| 205 | CBS | How I Met Your Mother | 3/17/2013 |
| 204 | CBS | Criminal Minds | 3/12/2013 |
| 188 | CW | Supernatural | 3/18/2013 |
| 183 | Fox | Bones | 3/18/2014 |
| 153 | CBS | The Big Bang Theory | 3/18/2014 |
As you can see, CBS is not shy at all when it come to backing the heavy hitters until they can't swing any more. With shows like CSI and Two and A Half Men, where they have proven they can swap out cast members and still come out successful, there's no chance of CBS relinquishing their lead. For the millions of viewers that tune into these shows week after week, there's no doubt that their favorite characters will entertain them for years to come. As for all you up-and-coming screen writers out there... I suggest you pitch your ideas to CBS execs.
As always, check back regularly to see what Chris "The Dace Man" Dace is looking at (and no, not just porn), as well as all of the other bloggers here at Fanboys Anonymous. Remember, keyboard warriors: Leave your feedback! Until then, for the few, the proud, and of course the Dacetacular, grab a beer—and, in this case, CBS Programming—and check out what's going on here in the Dace-Sphere. See ya next time!

With a rocky start, Sony is starting production of Ghostbusters 3. Bill Murray is apparently uncooperative, and unfortunately Ivan Reitman, the original director, will only be producing. After Harold Ramis (Egon Spengler) died, Ivan Reitman felt it was best not to direct the next one.
When I came back from Harold's funeral, it was really moving and it made me think about a lot of things. I'd just finished directing Draft Day, which I'm really happy with and proud of. Working on a film that is smaller and more dramatic was so much fun and satisfying. I just finally met with Amy and Doug Belgrad when I got back. I said I'd been thinking about it for weeks, that I'd rather just produce this Ghostbusters. I told them I thought I could help but let's find a really good director and make it with him. So that's what we've agreed will happen. I didn't want all kinds of speculation about what happened with me, that is the real story.

Without the full cooperation of Bill Murray and the original director, the movie might seem like an imminent disaster—but fear not! This sequel will be less like a continuation of the story and more like a continuation of the brand. So a new spin on the old idea—which could be bad or good. Let's hope for the latter! Let's also hope that Sony is going to treat the legacy the way it deserves and not just think of it as income. How good of a job can Sony do to keep the franchise's good name? And, more importantly, how much can we trust them to make a good movie that follows in the footsteps of the original Ghostbusters?

If you are the admin of a fan page on Facebook, you may have noticed the recent warnings that an update is coming soon. Beginning today, the new timeline-inspired design has hit those who opted into it early. Although you can put it off as long as you want, Facebook will make up your mind for you on June 5 when all pages will switch to the new design.
Luckily, cover photos remain mostly unchanged. Your custom design made to fit the dimensions of 851x315 should still fit snugly into place. However, the thumbnail for the designated profile picture is now significantly larger, therefore overlapping more of the cover photo.
Easily redesign your new cover photo by downloading this PSD template and using the tutorial video below.
WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE NEW LAYOUT?
