6 Flicks Picks for February 2020 Movie Release Schedule

Posted by Anthony Mango Saturday, February 1, 2020
Welcome to another edition of 6 Flicks Picks, wherein I list all of the upcoming films that are scheduled to be released in the United States for the month which is about to begin and break down which ones I'll be watching in theaters, which ones I'll wait to rent at home, and which ones I'll be skipping out on entirely. After going through the list, I'll choose which six films stand out to me as the ones I want to see the most, even if there are more or less than six that interest me.

Note: The list below is based primarily off the expanded nationwide USA release dates on IMDB as well as some other random outlets if possible, so some information may be different. If I am missing some of the limited releases or the dates conflict in some fashion, please let me know in the comments below and any adjustments and corrections will be made!

Without further ado, another new month means another new set of films, so what's coming soon to theaters in February 2020?

6 FLICKS PICKS

Which films make the cut?

6. The Invisible Man — Weak month. Let's just go with a plot I've seen before.

5. Wendy — They're trying something different, at least. But let's be honest, I'm not going to watch this.

4. Blumhouse's Fantasy Island — They took a weird TV show and turned it into a horror thing? Okay, I'm curious.

3. Bloodshot — It seems very generic, but it's also a comic book kind of movie and that speaks more to my likes than some of the other things on this list.

2. Birds of Prey — It's a DC movie, so I'll see it. It involves a lot of characters I'm very fond of, but the style of the movie, the tone, and the way it is adapting these characters looks HORRENDOUS. I'm not expecting it to be anything but hot garbage.

1. Sonic the Hedgehog — Big fan of the original games on Genesis. This can't be some super amazing movie, but the second trailer convinced me that it should be at least worth checking out.
