Gamescom 2014: Microsoft Announces Rise of the Tomb Raider is an Xbox One Exclusive | Fanboys Anonymous
During its press briefing at Gamescom in Germany this morning, Microsoft made several announcements. One of the biggest being that Rise of the Tomb Raider will be released exclusively on Xbox One.

I can't help feeling like the game will actually turn out to be a timed exclusive and it will find its way to PS4 eventually, but this is still a huge victory for Microsoft. The Tomb Raider reboot was one of the best reviewed games of 2013, so making the sequel exclusive to Xbox One, even temporarily, could really help boost Microsoft's sales when the game is released in 2015. Between that announcement, the official confirmation of the Sunset Overdrive bundle containing a white console, and the announcement of a Call of Duty bundle featuring a special edition console with a 1 TB hard drive, Microsoft is clearly pushing hard to boost its less than stellar sales numbers.

What do you guys think? If you have an Xbox One, are you excited about this? Do you wish Rise of the Tomb Raider would come to PS4 on day one as well? Sound off in the comments!
