Indoor Extreme Sports Archery Tag - If You Can Dodge An Arrow...

Posted by Unknown Saturday, May 10, 2014
Regardless if you are a huge Hunger Games fan or not, we have all at some point wondered how long we would survive the Hunger Games if our name was chosen at the Reaping. While (thankfully) the games are not real and we don't have to fight for our lives in an arena already trying to kill us, we can experience the gist of it in an archery-styled tag game.

Offered at the Indoor Extreme Sports complex in Long Island City, New York, Archery Tag has been a fast-growing hit. Adding the rules of dodgeball and replacing the balls with foam-tipped arrows, the 38,000-sqare-foot arena is full of inflated paintball bunkers as two teams go head-to-head. Players can also enjoy an "every man for themselves" match to see who is the last man—or woman—standing.

The complex also offers zombie laser tag, non exploding paintball, and black ops laser tag, integrating archery and laser tag into their weekly Zombiefest events.

While Indoor Extreme Sports is the only Archery Tag center in New York, the company plans on opening a center on Staten Island this summer with a larger outdoor field, The New York Times reported.

Archery has become widely popular with the success of Hunger Games, Avengers, Brave, and Arrow, featuring prominent characters wielding a quiver. This trending new arena match will definitely influence a few enthusiasts to run around shouting, "You have failed this city!" before unleashing a heap of flying arrows in every which direction. (Ok, I know I'm not the only one tempted to do so! Come on!)

If you are looking to brush up on your archery, Ozone Park's Pro Line Archery Lanes offers group and private lessons and open range for all ages for only $13.

Embrace your inner Katniss, Green Arrow, or Hawkeye. Archery Tag is available only on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for just $20 per player. The complex is located on 7-11 Van Dam Street, Long Island City, Queens NY. Visit their website for more information.

How long do you think you would survive the Hunger Games? Are you willing to find out? (Lets go!) Let us know in the comment section below!
