Deathlok Added to Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Marvel Comics' cyborg killing machine Deathlok is, surprisingly, heading to television thanks to Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The character has never been realized on screen before and has also had a tough time in comics, despite popularity in the '90s. The character also happens to be 40 years old this year.

Deathlok played by J August Richards Mike Peterson

Agent Mike Peterson, played by J. August Richards on the show, will become the cybernetic soldier. In the show, Deathlok/Peterson will have use of a robotic eye that can see through walls and will have increased strength and speed.

No word on whether he will appear as grimly as he does on paper (the character's body is completely covered, but his visible face looks to be in constant decay), or if he will be a good guy or an enemy (most likely enemy-turned-good-guy).

On the role, Richards says, "If you would have asked when I was nine years old what I wanted to be, I would have said a superhero, and I'm so excited to be one now as an adult on TV!"

Sounds like a fanboy to me.

What do you think? Does Deathlok fit into the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Should he appear in a movie, either his own or as a guest?
