Edgar Wright's
Ant-Man film is one of my most anticipated movies of 2015, which may seem weird with the huge slate of films releasing that year.
The even better news? I won't have to wait as long to see it! The movie just got a bump in schedule.
Originally announced as a July 31 release, the movie will now come out
July 17, 2015, according to
Marvel.com (they're probably a reliable source on the subject).
The film is set to be an action/comedy, and they cast brilliantly, handing off the lead role of Scott Lang/Ant-Man to the beloved Paul Rudd. The change from a Hank Pym-centric storyline to a Scott Lang one makes sense, considering the genre. Hank was never really the jokester, and the last thing we need reporters researching the character to do is find the issue in which he hits his wife. So a comedy it is!
Just out of curiosity, however, is anyone kind of irked about the comedic slant this movie will be taking, considering the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is pretty realistic (all things considered)?
