6 Flicks Picks for April 2019 Movie Release Schedule

Posted by Anthony Mango Monday, April 1, 2019
Welcome to another edition of 6 Flicks Picks, wherein I list all of the upcoming films that are scheduled to be released in the United States for the month which is about to begin and break down which ones I'll be watching in theaters, which ones I'll wait to rent at home, and which ones I'll be skipping out on entirely. After going through the list, I'll choose which six films stand out to me as the ones I want to see the most, even if there are more or less than six that interest me.

Note: The list below is based primarily off the expanded nationwide USA release dates on IMDB as well as some other random outlets if possible, so some information may be different. If I am missing some of the limited releases or the dates conflict in some fashion, please let me know in the comments below and any adjustments and corrections will be made!

Without further ado, another new month means another new set of films, so what's coming soon to theaters in April 2019?

6 FLICKS PICKS

Which films make the cut?

6. Fast Color — Super powers? Sure, why not?

5. Under the Silver Lake — I actually remember seeing a preview for this and thinking that it was something interesting, so let's go with that.

4. Pet Sematary — You really think I'm going to pick something like Teen Spirit?

3. Hellboy — I wasn't super amazingly wowed by the original two Hellboy movies, but hey, I watched them both and this is another superhero flick, so by default it takes precedence over the other picks.

2. Shazam! — While I think DC has so many problems going on and I've never loved the Captain Marvel Shazam character, this does look fun. I already have my ticket.

1. Avengers: Endgame — Dude. Duuuude. Duuuuuuuuude. This is my #1 most anticipated movie not only of this month, not only of this year, but in many ways of the past however many years it's been since the first Avengers. LET'S F'N GO!!!!
