Awards season is in full swing, but while the Golden Globes and Academy Awards celebrate the best of the year, the Golden Raspberry Awards poke fun at the worst movies to have come out over the past 12 months. The 36th annual ceremony will take place February 27, 2016.


WORST PICTURE

NOMINEES: Fantastic Four, Fifty Shades of Grey, Jupiter Ascending, Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2, Pixels

PREDICTION: Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2
- These are all seemingly worthy of this win. I've only watched two, and Fantastic Four is definitely the worst movie I've seen all year and I'd like to see it win, but it looks like the stronger contender is Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2. Judging by the trailers, I can see why.

RESULT: (tie) Fantastic Four and Fifty Shades of Grey

WORST ACTOR

NOMINEES: Johnny Depp (Mortdecai), Jamie Dornan (Fifty Shades of Grey), Kevin James (Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2), Adam Sandler (The Cobbler and Pixels), Channing Tatum (Jupiter Ascending)

PREDICTION: Adam Sandler (The Cobbler and Pixels)
- He's nominated twice. I have to imagine that gives him the edge.

RESULT: Jamie Dornan (Fifty Shades of Grey)

WORST ACTRESS

NOMINEES: Katherine Heigl (Home Sweet Hell), Dakota Johnson (Fifty Shades of Grey), Mila Kunis (Jupiter Ascending), Jennifer Lopez (The Boy Next Door), Gwyneth Paltrow (Mortdecai)

PREDICTION: Katherine Heigl (Home Sweet Hell)
- Random guess. She seems to be hated in a lot of circles.

RESULT: Dakota Johnson (Fifty Shades of Grey)


WORST SUPPORTING ACTOR

NOMINEES: Chevy Chase (Hot Tub Time Machine 2 and Vacation), Josh Gad (Pixels and The Wedding Ringer), Kevin James (Pixels), Jason Lee (Alvin and the Chipmunks: Road Chip), Eddie Redmayne (Jupiter Ascending)

PREDICTION: Kevin James (Pixels)
- There's a lot of hate here for Pixels and Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 I think that will translate to Kevin James taking the award with this.

RESULT: Eddie Redmayne (Jupiter Ascending)

- Random guess. It shouldn't be Michelle Monaghan, as she had nothing to work with. Not her fault.

- The Wachowskis could easily take this, but I think the publicity behind Trank's fiasco will earn this award for him.

- The difference maker with this, I think, is that they can make fun of the source material by making fun of the script that came out of that book that came out of that fan fiction.
