X-Men: Apocalypse Will Be Set in 1983 CONFIRMED

CONFIRMED Upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse Film To Be Set In the 80's Stephen Kinberg ConfirmsThis probably won't come as much of a surprise for you X-Men fans out there, but it has finally been confirmed that X-Men: Apocalypse will be set in the 1980s.

The news was confirmed via a Q&A podcast with the movie's writer and producer, Simon Kinberg.

The events of the film will occur in 1983 to be precise, which will be 10 years after X-Men: Days of Future Past. Seeing as how that took place in the '70s, and it's predecessor, X-Men: First Class, was set in the '60s, it's only natural that the new film follows suit with this theme.

X-Men: Apocalypse will be hitting cinemas on May 27, 2016—which is quite a long time away—so get to the cinema and watch X-Men: Days of Future Past, which is currently being shown now!

Are you guys excited for the new film? What theories do you have for the plot? Let us know below!
