Is DC's New 52 Jumping Forward Five Years?

Posted by Unknown Wednesday, November 6, 2013
DC's The New 52 line-wide reboot has been met with a volatile mix of support—ranging from excitement to passionate rage—since its announcement. Today, just over two years after the bold publishing initiative, DC unveiled a sneak peek at plans that could mean big changes for the young New DCU.

During an interview on the most recent episode of DC All Access, Dan Didio, DC Co-Editor, allowed a look at logos for a new event titled "The New 52 Five Years Later," which we can only assume means DC plans to jump its entire line five years forward in continuity. Check out the logos below.

DC tried a similar ploy following "Infinite Crisis," which launched the old DCU forward a single year, a noteworthy difference as the current DCU is only five years old itself. Could this jump forward mean a chance to reorganize and devise long-term plans for characters, or more confusion and talent changes? Sound off with your thoughts for the event below, and stay tuned to fanboysanonymous.com for details as they emerge.
