Han Solo Rumored to Play Big Role in Star Wars Episode VII

Posted by Jeff Penner Tuesday, April 29, 2014
With May the Fourth (be with you!) right around the corner, fans can expect some major casting and plot news surrounding Star Wars: Episode VII. Things keep looking better and better for Han Solo fans, though.
Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia
Harrison Ford + Pointing = "Business"
Deadline reports that Han Solo "has a gigantic role in the first of the next three films." Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) has already been confirmed to return alongside Harrison Ford (Solo), Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), and Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia). The droids that manage to connect the entire series, C-3PO and R2-D2, will also return.

Harrison Ford has been wanting a major blockbuster for years, even returning to space battles in last year's Ender's Game and joining the aging action hero franchise in Expendables 3.

The cast will be assembling to do their first, full table read of the script so we may start getting some leaks soon. JJ Abrams likes to drop tidbits here and there and, if I were him, I wouldn't be able to resist squealing some spoilers out for Star Wars Day.

Seeing as how disappointing the last trilogy was, what are you hoping to not see in this new series?
