Week in Geek #19: WarnerMedia Streaming Service, James Gunn Suicide Squad 2 and More | Fanboys Anonymous
Welcome to another edition of WEEK IN GEEK here at Fanboys Anonymous—a rundown of some of the events, news and stories that went down over the past few days in the geek culture spectrum.

This week in geek culture Fanboys Anonymous nerd recap

Here are some of the topics I felt like voicing my opinions about:

Jack O'Connell for Batman?

As a rule, I don't believe anything said in any regard about DC anymore, because the stories change all the time, so I don't put any stock into this, especially since other reports say Ben Affleck is still going to be Batman. I know nothing about this actor, though, to be able to judge whether or not he'd be a good fit.

Secret Six Series for CBS

Not too familiar with that team in any regard, but I did love Scrubs, so I'm down for checking it out.

WarnerMedia Launching a Streaming Service

How does that factor into the DC Universe plan, if they potentially have DC content on there? Maybe DCU will be a cheaper platform and targeted that way, but run off the same servers? WB has other material like the Harry Potter films and stuff, but I don't know about ignoring DC content and going with other stuff and making it worthwhile to subscribe to two.

James Gunn for Suicide Squad 2

So this makes sense in a lot of ways, and I'm kind of excited to see what he can bring to the table. If it's true that Dave Bautista is interested in taking part, he's big enough that he could play some different roles. Maybe he'd even be a possible pick for Bane? Just a thought. Maybe something more like a Drax type where he's in makeup. I don't know. Then again, it's a DC film, so I shouldn't trust that this won't just be another failed project.

Joker Movie Extras Locked in Subway Car for 3 Hours

What the hell is going on with this story? If it's true, how is the production working like that? That's horrible and it's not good press for DC and Warner Bros

Kraven the Hunter Movie Could Feature Spider-Man

No. No. No. No. No. Don't do a Kraven movie. Don't pull Spider-Man out of the MCU. Don't make these stupid mistakes, Sony. Don't think that people checking out your Venom movie out of interest in Venom means that you know what the hell you're doing. You don't.
