Uncanny X-Force (2013) #4 Review

With respect to artwork, writing, style, plot, and everything else that goes into comic book making, Uncanny X-Force has been one of my favorites in the new rush of Marvel NOW series. Writer Sam Humphries and artist Ron Garney are a dynamic duo, bringing together a group of mutants with a drawing team dynamic to fight a darker and grittier sort of evil.

Uncanny X-Force #4 picks up right where the last issue left off. We get a clearer look into the antagonist of the series and how certain characters tie into it all. As always, the writing is superb, with excellent dialogue and character interactions, which is one of the great points of the series. It's gotten to the point in the series where certain lines are beginning to cross, and the bigger story has begun to come into play. This issue sets things into motion and does so without leaving the reader too much in the dark.

In terms of art, there are no complaints here. I am a huge fan of Garney's artwork. It is very clean and distinct and is quite frankly one of my favorites when it comes to comic book drawing.

Score: 9.5/10
